Meanwhile I have a feeling Apple will be announcing a very good quarter and perhaps announcing Watch sales that blow estimates out of the water. Cook & Co. sure seemed in a good mood yesterday at Apple's beer bash.

I got that email today - and all it means to me is "oh, well, they're saying I aint' getting it on the 24th."
It'll probably be the 8th. And I ordered at 12:02am, with the confirmation email @ 12:03. I guess the 42mm Space Grey Sport with black band is pretty popular.
I received an email from UPS at 10:26 p.m. last night that my 38 mm SS ML will arrive 4/24 between 2-4 p.m. I'm in Southen California; the watch ships from Tennessee, which I believe is a big UPS hub.
I didn't order the 38mm sport until 8am on the 10th. I received an email last night at 9:35pm subject "Your order is on it's way" but in the body "We are processing your order" two conflicting statements.. Hmm we shall see!
I haven't gotten that email and still no tracking on my order that's preparing for shipment , I guess I won't hold my breath for tomorrow . O well I'll find something else to do this weekend .
Please explain? Tomorrow is the official launch date.
The only thing bad about it so far, is all the whining and complaining across the Internet.
There is one thing in this day and age I noticed happening... Negativity spreads like wild fire across the Internet. Something that a few people have issues with in moments build into a faux epidemic. There are so many news outlets and blogs that one single story gets regurgitated a hundred times and all of a sudden the "issue" seems like a real problem. Then you get people who can't filter out the noise and start falling into the morass of hype. They start posting messages on these sites propagating it further.
It seems no one wants to take the time to actually understand wants going on. It's much easier to get angry and toss blame around and, ironically, incompetence.
Searching on ups worked for me , shows a label was created today , but hasn't been picked up yet. Usually all my apple stuff ships FedEx to me but I guess not this time .
That the watch is physically available in store at Maxfield's on Friday to me speaks to an elitist approach that seems concurrent with Angela's oversight. I still say FIRE HER! The complaints about this launch compared to those who favor is is akin to lightning and the lightning bug

All is not lost yet - you're in the same position as me in terms of what Apple are telling you, but mine seems to be on the way.
Try creating yourself a UPS "My Choice" account (it's free).
I ordered at 12:01 (42mm Stainless Steel, Black Classic Buckle), was charged on Monday and the Apple order page was changed to "Preparing For Shipment", which it still says. I didn't get an e-mail from Apple this morning, but the UPS My Choice account shows a delivery expected by end of day tomorrow, from Apple in Rialto, California.
Weirdly the UPS full tracking information doesn't show it as having been picked up by them yet, just that the label was created on 4/23.
I ordered 42mm Space Gray sport with black band. I received my order confirmation 3:02 AM on the 10th. Date says I should get it anywhere from April 24th to May 8th but my order still says its processing and I'm really kind of bummed with it. It appears as time goes on Apple has done worse and worse in terms of shipping time in terms of getting it there on time. Roommate had an issue with iPhone 6, family had problems with iPad Air 2. Hopefully it'll get here sooner than later but for now I'm not going to be pre-ordering for a bit of time until Apple makes their shipping more efficient then it is, there is definitely some logistic issues that they need to work out supply needs to meet demand and they clearly aren't doing that.
Is there anybody who can sell his 42mm sport watch on a launch day? I am visiting NYC so if it happens that you get yours on Friday or Saturday just send me a message to lounateak@gmail.com, I could offer a good price!

Confirmation email received at 2:06 AM CST so there's hope for a lot of that ordered sooner than me I believe.
