The Note series does indeed have the pen. I don't see where there would be much demand for a phone that's essentially the same thing as the Note minus the pen, however, which is why I doubt this rumor's veracity.
What makes me chuckle is that when Apple finally comes out with a device in the large-screen form factor that Samsung pioneered, that's not considered copying, but putting a "Plus" in the name is. If the rumor about the iPad Pro coming out with a stylus turns out to be true, that won't be considered copying either, but I'm sure that'll get turned around on Samsung too, somehow.
Samsung Didn't pioneer a larger screen. In fact it was the Orignal iPhone that had the large screen over everyone else TINY screen's. But ignoring that, Samsung wasn't first with a larger screen then the iPhone. A bigger screen is not Pioneering. it' not Innovation. it's just a bigger screen.
The copying Apple is not about the bigger screen. It's about Copying Apple's 2 Models of iPhones. and pretty much naming them the SAME!!! There was one size S series before. if you wanted a larger phone, there was the Note, or the Mega. But now it's just a larger S series called a Plus. The phone 6S and S6 is confusing enough, but now we can have PLUS thrown into the Mix. yet more copying.
This wouldn't be the first time Samsung is just copying sames. iCloud vs s-cloud. Apple Pay vs Samsung Pay. Even with other company's. RIM BlackBerry, Samscum BlackJack. Motorola Razer, Samscum Blade. Samscum is just all about copying!!!!!.
Here's 3 pages of examples of Samsung Copying Apple!!!
Apple came out with a larger screen iPhone (for the 2nd time, with the iPhone 5 being the first) only after bringing 3rd party developers along to make sure virtually everything--all apps--would work smoothly for consumers.
If/when Apple comes out with a stylus-equipped iPad, it won't be considered copying because it will work beyond Samsung's dreams and work so well. Apple will "pwn" the technology. In contrast, Samsung (and Google) try to be first to market, throwing crap against the wall just to see what sticks. Witness Google Wallet (not very sticky!).
I hate to say it, but one area where google does have an advantage is google wallet. Google wallet works with any bank. I had an LG before my 6 plus, and Google wallet worked great where it was accepted. When I switched to the 6 plus and put my card into the apple pay, it rejected my card and said "bank not supported yet". I have bank with a small bank that is not a part of any major corporate conglomerate so chances are it will likely never be added to Apples supported list. I will likely never be able to use apple pay. So, for me anyway, Google wallet is superior.
How long before Samsung changes their name to Apple* and their logo to an apple with a bite taken out of it (but with a bite 2 degrees off center of the bite in Apple's logo)?
I'm not kidding.
I like that. Just to add to your illustration they can go ahead and stick a worm right through the middle 'cause they are rotten to the core. Pathetic losers.
I have bank with a small bank that is not a part of any major corporate conglomerate so chances are it will likely never be added to Apples supported list.
If your bank is as small (and presumably as personal) as you say... have you asked them directly about getting on board with Apple Pay? The pressure has to come from somewhere. Maybe you're not alone.
My problem with this isn't with their naming convention, it's with the confusion now among their product lines. So the Galaxy S6 Plus is exactly like a Note but without the pen? It seems like Samsung is releasing products now that are confusingly similar to one another.

Google had advantage? You got to look at it again.
Apple Pay use tokenization for authentication in which the device account number (DAN) issued by the bank during the initial setup and stored in the chip on iPhone. Every transaction is done through this DAN which generates a one-time-use code for authentication.
Google Wallet, doesn't actually use the real tokenization, but something called "Virtual Card" (backed by Bancorp) which's issued to you by Google during the initial setup while your real card information is stored on Google server. Google's Virtual Card will pay the transaction for you and charge back to your credit cards. It acts like a middle man.
Apple Pay's technology is far more advanced than Google Wallet in term of implementation and security.
Please tell me how the current Samsung screens are shitty. Have you used one for more then ten seconds at a best buy when you were searching for fualts with it
The pentile screens in earlier Galaxy phones were clearly inferior to the screens in iPhones. Even the S5's screen tests below the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus. My colleague's 6Plus display is noticeably better than his previous S5. As for the new model, it looks like the higher density on the S6 has made up for it's pentile sub pixel layout, although there seems to be other problems with that screen.

Yeah that's why this is a clickbait article. That phone could not even make it into Samsung's pricing scheme. They are making a note 5 and a note 5 edge. Both of which will be based off of the s 6 platform
"Oh, obviously! The moment I sat down I thought I was looking into a mirror!"
But seriously... I never understood the LG Prada argument. There's no way the LG Prada had any influence on Apple.
iPhone development started in 2004 in Cupertino California... while the LG Prada was developed sometime after that in South Korea.
Did Apple have spies in South Korea?
And by the time the LG Prada was shown to the public in late 2006... the iPhone's design was already complete and gearing up for its launch.
So what exactly could Apple have possibly "copied" from LG anyway?
The only reason the Prada was dropped into this discussion was to show how ridiculous it was to compare the Newton to the note only because they have "stylus" in common.

Three times. The original iPhone was bigger than anything else at the time.
The screen was, not the actual footprint of the phone. Again if screen size is irrelevant then why did they go bigger twice in one shot?

It's okay, I'm sure a lot goes right over your head.

Why not? iPods and iMacs have different screen sizes.

Because sales showed it was unnecessary.
Would that be in the same sense that Apple "copied" the LG Prada?
And whoever says iPhone looks like LG Prada, that one should have their eyes checked or just shut the f up.

General public only saw end product and made assumptions. Apple filed bunch of iPhone prototypes back in early 2000.
