    * Buy myself a couple of new macs, plus some nice software.

    * Get a nice little cottage somewhere beautiful - maybe in New Zealand or Switzerland.

    * Hmm... everyone seems to want a nice car. I don't have a car right now, but I would settle for anything that runs, even if I had a ridiculous amount of money. This is where I would be frugal - I'd probably end up with a Yugo.

    * Here's the hard part: I would buy myself time. Sigh... if only I had some now. Then I would do constructive things like reading, hiking, and catching up on my drawing and painting.

    * The rest would be divided between savings for later in life and donations to charities.

    * Oh yeah, I might re-start my EverQuest account too, seeing as I quit because of the price. But maybe not, it's awfully addictive after all...

Choose New Zealand, prices are awfully high in Switzerland especially in aeras like Davos, where you need several millions of dollars to buy a house.

haha...depending on what lottery you do it could be a good idea or bad...well it would never be a good idea it would be a bad idea and a lesser bad idea

you would have to look at the odds of winning and the amount of money you could win

haha its possible in most lottery drawings that u could have just wasted a million dollars

...not to mention you'd have to fill out ALOT of those custom number slips so you can be sure the 'random' number the machine picks isn't the same

Neris les Bains has one of the lowest prizes of France. The prize of the ground is 15 ? per square meter, compared to prize of 150 ? per square meter in others aera. Anyway the prize of the building him-self is nearly the same as others place.

I think in sepuku, the slit is left-to-right, followed by an upward thrust, shortly before a second lops off your head, but I'm sure there are more knowledgeable experts out there than I.

Or, for $1M, you could just hire a hit man to whack yourself.

Personally, a million dollars doesn't go as far as it used to.

Make my beloved take a sabbatical and then... travel the world, slowly, without worrying if we can afford that country , that hotel , that flight, that admission charge etc.

    Pay off the mortgage.

    23" Cinema Display.

Money left over for 970 on first possible day.

the absolute first thing anyone should do is get themselves out of debt. then start looking to other close family members to see if you can get them out of debt. i'd do that for my parents (though they would probably be hip-deep back in debt within 90 days...sigh). then a house, with substantial property on a good site. let that build up value. meanwhile, start my business and not give a rat's ass if i couldn't break even for a while.

p.s. just stumbled on this thread, and thought i would resurrect it, if ever so briefly.
