So, using daap://andmyip I put a link to my iTunes shared music in my signature, and of course this will work anywhere you can put a link. Both Safari and Camino successfully passed daap:// to my iTunes and connected.

Coolest thing ever! I'm not a very clever monkey, please tell me how I can turn my sig into a link to my iTunes library.
A small app would be cool with a 'buddy list' type feature so you don't have to remember IPs.
Great idea! You can use the addressbook and use the homepage field to do this. daap://ipaddress in that field will open the link in iTunes. Just enable the addressbook bookmark menu in safari and you're set! I've done it and it works fine.

yeah and you could use it in conjunction with iChat. iChat would tell you whether the person is online, which would make it a pretty good bet that they're on iTunes as well.
