Very nice! The only things that still makes me pause is that the P810 runs Symbian/UIQ and not the Palm OS, which I am already used to. OTOH, a P810 wouldn't fit in my pocket nearly as well as my current Moto T722. Maybe I'll just have to wait for the Z600, or wait for nothing and be happy with what I already have...

Harald: What say you? Have you heard anything recently about shipping dates for the P810, Z600, or any other cool gadgets from SE? What about the ever-rumored iPhone?

Motorola just brought out the A920, which has the same OS as the P900 / 810. It's a 3G phone with GPS in, too, very hardcore and available on 3 over in the UK. There is indeed an SE 'version' in the lab too. She's called Lucia I believe. She ain't out this year, no way, now how.

And she does not include wifi. 100% certain.

The question is if it will fit in your pocket better than a Palm OS device, not a phone.

Not really, GOED. Right now, my phone is always in my pants (set to vibrate) and my Palm sits in my bag. If I bring my bag, usually on weekdays, I bring the Palm. If I don't bring my bag, usually on weekends, the Palm stays home and all I have is my phone. Not perfect, but good enough for now.

Anyway, now that I've come to appreaciate the flip-phone form-factor, but still want better PDA functionality, Sony Ericcson's now-official Z600 looks mighty good. I'm sure that once Apple starts shipping an updated 12-inch PowerBook, which I'll be tempted to buy, Bluetooth will become a must-have feature in my phone.

This article seems to suggest that the new P800 replacement will be 3G

Does anyone else have problems pressing up on the t616

joystick? Instead of going up it thinks that I pushed

    it in.

Also has anyone had problems trying to download games

from the cellmania section in the www.mywirelesswindow.com.

After I log in, there is a link on the left called

"wireless sites". From there I choose the "Search for More

Sites and Software" link. After that I choose, "Games" and

then the "Card/Casino" link. There is a roulette game that

specifically says that it works for my phone. I've tried

purchasing it & then bookmarking it so I can access it from

my phone with no luck. I'll get charged but no game. I've

tried getting help directly from the Cingular store &

multiple calls to tech support with no solution.

The weird thing is that I can download games directly

    from my phone's game section.

Looks like the P900 is going to be announced/released at the end of this month (although apparently its possible to pre-order right now in a couple of places).

Thought I'll just bump this old thread, because now it's official:

The P900 (which was touted by the rumor sites as the P810) will be available by November. And the T610's (or T616 in the US) successor, the T630.

Maybe Harald can elaborate a bit on both of them. What's the difference between the T630 and the T610 besides the T630's TFT display and the T610' better looks - my opinion.

Edited for bad English. If you can find any left please report.

    I'm glad I didn't fall for the P800 or T610 now.

    Yes, Harald, please elaborate!

There's a detailed review of the p900 on My-Symbian that compares it to the p800 (as well as displaying photos of the p900 alongside a couple of older Symbian devices). The p900 comes out looking very good, despite being a less than major hardware upgrade from the p800. Unfortunately, it won't be available in the US until Q1 04 (unless you want to pay a huge premium for it...some of the Howard Forums crowd seem quite content to lay out $1150 to get their hands on one before everyone else).

Now that the p900 is finally out, I've decided to get all excited about the rumors that Nokia will be announcing a successor to the Communicator early next week for NMIC
