white people stink because of all the dairy products we consume. to most asians, we smell like rotten milk. of course, your diet has a lot more to do with your smell than most poeple think.
I was just about to post this.
It's true, your diet highly affects what your 'natural' smell is like. I have met some people who just stink, no matter what they do, they constantly mask the smell with deodorants, showering a lot, using lots of soaps. But ultimately they still stink. And I have met other people who still manage to smell fine even if they don't shower for a while, or never wear deodorant.
but, I should stop here, If I keep going I'll end up sounding like a raving hippy
Side note: Any of you brush your teeth in the shower?
I did this the other day when I was running late (I somehow figured it would save time...don't really think it did though) and it was really nice. You are all that water, and you don't have to worry about getting toothpaste on yourself. The only thing is if you drop your tooth brush, you should burn it and buy a new one. I'd also suggest not lowering it below your upper torso just to be careful of splashing
I am living in a college dorm as well. Meanwhile, it is getting hot here.. in the upper 60s now. I do take a shower and washing my hair before leaving my room to class. It takes roughly 15 mins.
I also heard about that what food you consumed did affect the body smell.. more beef ends up smelling bad.
I used to living in Hong Kong, where humidity is always hight and air pollution is an issue, people do take a shower once or twice a day. YES.. the water bill was not cheap there.
No, you won't sound like a hippy. What were you going to say?
Are you a vegetarian, then?
I'm not a vegetarian because I have no real issues with eating meat, but I definitely don't eat a lot of it. combined with the abundance of fruits and veggies I get, and the low amounts of dairy, I'd say it has positive effects on my natural odor.
My only real dietary vice is my indefatigable sweet tooth. I love candy, and chocolate, eat it all the time, so that probably has some adverse effects on my health and smell, but eh, I can deal with it.

Fruits and veggies - you must be a real 'sweetie' (literally).

If you love chocolate, and have access to a food processor, I can give you a luscious recipe for chocolate mousse - rich and thick...not that light fluffy stuff. It's easy, and to die for. Once you make chocolate from scratch, candy bars will completely lose their appeal.
Plus you could wow the girls by making chocolate mousse for them - using your 'secret family recipe', which you won't divulge. heh.
I could probably get away with one shower every 2 days if I wanted to, but the main thing stopping me is my hair. I have very oily hair, and if I don't take a shower in the morning, the oils get on my hands (just from running my hands through the hair), which in turn gets in my eyes if I rub my eyes. I have really sensitive eyes, so a little oil can ruin my day. Plus, if i don't take a shower, my hair looks really crazy.
Damn my thick hair! Maybe I should just shave my head and be done with it

Hey, when I clicked "reply," your post was still there.
Plus, there's more than one situation where being able to delete my post would have been VERY useful. Carol knows about that. Don't abuse your mod powers!
Anyway, hopefully that comment of yours is preserved for all to see, but on the other hand, you're a mod so you could probably change my post and make it look like I'm calling myself a doodoohead instead .
I'd say its safe to say most (if not all) college kids wear the same piece of clothing more than once before washing. Many of my clothes get worn like 4 or 5 times before the wash ... and they usually aren't really that dirty in the end anyway.

It's a female trait, Luca.
But don't worry. I'll *never* try to pry anything out of YOU again.
Much too dangerous.

That's OK, asians smell like fish anyway.

As I mentioned elsewhere, I took a course on The History of Film.
I also took Cinematography I.
Any other questions?
Have you got that foot out of your mouth yet? Was it tasty?

I have noticed though, that while I sweat profusely, it doesn't smell at all.
that's because fresh sweat doesn't really smell. only when it is broken down by bacteria it starts to stink.
