Well, I consider myself to be living in 2 towns right now.
In California I like:
1. Bike paths - lots of them. They go everywhere in my town, and are always lined with trees and flowers. Absolutely beautiful, and useful as well! People usually bike if they need to go out, rather than driving.
2. The trees - Davis rivals Sacramento for second place in the world's listing of "amount of trees per capita". Paris is #1, my town is #2.
3. The Farmer's Market every Wednesday and Saturday. You can get amazing produce, and on wednesdays in the summer, they have a live band.
4. It's a university town, so there's almost always something to do
5. My old theatre company thrived there. I miss them.
6. The hippie-fest known as "Whole Earth" that they have every spring. You get some really crazy characters here, but it's definitely an awesome time.
7. Soooo much more. You don't realize how much you love a place until you have to live somewhere else.
In Oregon I like:
1. The temperature - California gets crazy hot in the summer, but here, it's nice and cool. 8)
2. My college campus is actually really beautiful
3. The best coffee shop in the world (IMO) is just a five minute walk away. Granted, it is a five minute walk through sketch-town, but if you survive, the coffee is well worth it.
4. My campus
5. The ducks in the stream next to my dorm.
6. My campus
7. You can see stars at night (not too many, but they're better than a pink haze).
8. Um... my campus. You could say I live in a bubble.
These guys are legit, you've ordered from them in the past?
Dude, thanks so much.
I've been buying from them for about two years - maybe three - and they have always been good to deal with. The delivery time is sometimes a little longer then stated (can be more than two weeks) but they get there in the end. The one time a carton didn't arrive they replaced it free of charge. Most of my friends use them as well and so far I've heard no complaints.
As for being legit legit...I guess it's still a legal grey area in the US although I expect it will eventually be legislated against.
i'll have to try that after i finish off this carton. [looks over at site] those prices seem exceptionally low. these cartons falling off the backs of trucks?
I'm seriously burning out dealing with attitudes and traffic. Not to mention bad roads and terrible intersections (3 of the Top 10 Worst in the COUNTRY).
~ Fall, winter and springtime are stunningly gorgeous here
~ flowers bloom year round
~ I have an orange tree in my backyard that is heavy with fruit, and whose blossoms in the spring have a heavenly fragrance.
~ when it's hot in the summer, I go to the mountains, where the afternoon temperature, after the daily rainshower, is 65 degrees...aaahhhhhhhh.....bliss.
I sit on the cabin's covered front porch reading the paper, drinking freshly-ground coffee, inhaling the freshness of the air and watching/listening to the rain. Total relaxation.
the air is heavy with the rich smell of pine trees that have been super-heated by the sun
the skies are shockingly, intensely blue, the clouds unbelievably white and puffy...the contrast so stunning it almost hurts the eyes

Edit: Apparently buying them is legal, but possessing them may be a misdemeanor...
the girls - no matter how many hot girls you have seen your jaw would drop if you were here.
It never gets colder than 74F
It never gets hotter than 90F
The water never drops below 82F
Almost 10,000 miles from NYC
Small Town Feel (fewer than 200,000 people within 1000 miles of my house)
Big Town amenities (we are the largest city within about 2000 miles)
of course it has it's drawbacks ...
The nearest Apple Store is 4000 miles away.
Typhoons suck .... alot.
