On the iCal screen shot it looks like the show info button on the lower right is pressed, but the drawer isn't showing. Is that because the info is in the detached panel, or has it been integrated somehow into the main window?
Can you offer any info about the notifications area on the left pane? How does it function and what options are available for it?
I don't think it's hard to imagine player functionality eventually being integrated with Delicious Library; there's already a projector icon to the left of the search field.
It wouldn't make sense. Delicious Library is a cataloguer...not a movie player. And it catalogues physical objects...not virtual objects on the computer.
It could theoretically be extended to include ripped albums, ripped DVDs, eBooks and be a launcher for installed games but that should be a different app.
