iTunes was the only think open...think some of my files get corrupted
There is no way that should be happening? Is sound enhancer on? Are these MP3s, MP4s or uncompressed? A 1GHz G4 with 1GB RAM should be able to cope with anything though. Corruption could be a problem.

AAC ripped at 256...its usally ones that I have ripped using iTunes

that is odd, i use AIFF, AAC (128) 160 MP3 and Loss-less and nothing skips on either my iMac G3 or my PowerBook. Corruption is probably the problem. Find out which songs skip and re-encode them.

Having been here since 1998 (6 years and 3 months) I am too old and start to forget things!
