For once an Apple announcement is happening during my normal waking hours (since I had to become civilized and actualoly get a job)... Japan time is only an hour off of Aussie time.

My MB 15" has all but become the defacto presentation device at work (for everyone) so I need a new machine for myself. Got the wife a MB earlier this week but, as I was afraid, it is too small for me (the MB 12 was way too small) so I am counting on a new MBP. Will also be chhecking out photo apps, as I am getting a new camera tomorrow.

    Gimme gimme gimme

You guys have the time all wrong.

The event in Germany starts at 16.30 local time, now it's 10.40 in Belgium and since it's the same timezone as Germany, there are still a little less than 6 hours to go for the event.

I suggest you all take a nap

"Start Photokina a little earlier this year", Apple invites to a special event. On the evening before the fair starts, the Mac producer invites to an event taking place Sep 25 16.30 (UTC +2) in the Guerzenich hall in Cologne quarter Guerzenich. The form to registrate can be found on Apples website http://www.apple.com/go/photokina/register/. What is to be disclosed is not known.

Also non-press people are invited, some reporting they got a ticket after registering by that form.

They speculate it has to do something with Aperture because "It's the Photokina, stupid!"

    My speculation:

How nice looks a matte Cinema display besides a glossy MacBook / MacBook Pro?

How nice is a Cinema display without an integrated isight?

Who needs big/huge Cinema displays? People in the financial business and ... ?

... and ... last not least

    Do DELL deliver Meroms already?

2Hours 22Minutes to go. Cologne 2:07pm. I'm getting sleeeepy. It's 10pm where I am here, so I may have to clock in tomorrow and check out the news. Not staying up, in case it's just a bloody Aperture update

If its true that the event will be at 10:30 am Eastern time, then I wonder why the Apple store is still up? don't they usually take the store offline 1 hour before new products are introduced/updated?

Anyways hope we get a nice C2D MacBook Pro update

    23 minutes left... ?
