Yes, that's sad. It's being spread by their unfortunate instinct of fighting, and biting each others faces .It seems to be a virus, and it's thought that a cure could be found, if there are some of the buggers left by then. The photo's are horrible.
Then before you know it, boom, one of them bites a human and it's Dawn Of The Dead all over again.
...PS: I've had so much trouble trying to get Vista to see and access shares and for it's sahres to be ssen and accessed. Really, it's been a nightmare and I wish there was one solution that worked for all of my installs...
Dude, totally. Totally. Or as Randy would say... Dawg, dawg, DAWG! I hear ya, you know.... It was kinda pitchy though.... um oops.
But DAWG, yeah, Vista seeing Mac Tiger SMB shares is like trying to see the monogram on a nun's panties. Tiger looking at Vista shares though, that seems ok for me.
But DAWG, Networking. Vista.XP. Mac. More seamless interoperable SMB for frack's sake!!!
I'm no network engineer, but I delved deep into etc/smb.conf and NTLM Level2 or whatever the hell that was and still no joy.
Not fun when one has to be XServe XRAID OSXServer -certified for smooth SMB sharing over a mixed XP, Vista, 10.3, 10.4 network and clients.
In fact, the above scares the absolute pants off me.
Quiet, you. ...Some of y'all know my "secret identity"... Especially by the nature and weirdness of the posts. Do keep it that way. I'm posting under this username because ZOMFG I actually survived 1 day today (well, okay, a few hours) starting out some Mac-related work.
Can't risk people-on-the-ground knowing what I've actually been saying all this time.
The Tasmanian Devil IS a real animal, although suffering teribly at the moment from an undiagnosed, untreatable form of mouth ulcer/cancer, the devils are being wiped out rapidly, some say they will be extinct within a decade.
Beautiful/nasty little marsupial they are.

MULTIQUOTE ROCKS MY WORLD!!!
In other news, I *did not* know the plague facing the Tassie Devils, I know that the animals are real and not extinct, but did not realise how bad things were.
Ouch. I just Googled an image. I couldn't post it here, it would break too many hearts, because they are small and furry, and OMFG WTF IS ON ITS FACE-!!!-CANCER stuff is... painful. Yup, the photos *are* horrible.
Hmmm, maybe we should dub 10.4.9 the "Leoper" release--half Tiger/half Leopard.
Heh. Sounds like "Leper". Which is more of what Vista is, seeing no major company with half an ounce of common sense wants to come within 100 miles of it.

I'm surprised that there has been no mention of the Liger and Tigon. At least those actually exist.
Why surprised? They do exist but they are very uncommon. Not that Sabretooth is very common nowadays...
