Wow. This really has a lot of potential. I can't wait until more widgets are developed to show it's true power.

I just read through a bit of the widget creation reference guide. It seems very well implemented and easy to create.

Thanks Xidius for the mirror. It took me forever just to download the 551 kB reference form...they must be swamped!

This AWESOME... just one thing: anybody know why the analogue clock, the digital clock and the calendar all think that it's *Tuesday* rather than Monday.

I can't see any way of changing that in the prefs. I'm in the UK if that makes any difference at all, and the OSX date and time control panel show the correct date...

gotta love arlo rose (co-creator of kaleidoscope with greg landweber long years ago). he's just got a knack for knowing what a mac user would like.

p.s. anyone notice he used an old kaleidoscope scheme color palette for the konfabulator website? i think it was called "antique." kaleidoscope faithful probably caught that... or else i am in a desperate need of what you might call "a life."

Question. Does picture frame allow you to hang pictures on your desktop? Also, wouldn't it be nice if we could hang multiple picture frames on a desktop of our choosing and still have the individual photos in the frames change and rotate through a list?

    Really, Really sweet.

How do you set the widgets to 'embed' in the desktop?

You mean that they don't move when you accidentally mouse over them ? Or do you mean the digital clock for example, which looks like it's embedded in the desktop.

Because right now you can't. They all 'look' embedded.

So as to not bring them forward of other apps with a mouse click.

Okay - I'm now trying konfabulator at home, and it's still showing the date as being tomorrow! Is there some kind of fundemental flaw with the app? I find it hard to believe that both my work Mac, my G4 and my ibook are all incorrectly configured - especially as OSX's date and time and iCal are correct? What does Konfabulator use to work out the date?

arbernaut, i know this won't help much, but the calendar widget is working fine for me. the 10th, just as it should be...

i suppose someone should be responsible for pointing out that konfabulator is NOT the widgets, but the environment that RUNS the widgets. so any problems you may be encountering may be the widget's fault, not konfabulator's. (to borrow from arlo's past, it's in much the same vein as kaleidoscope, where some poorly made schemes made kaleidoscope go all wonky).

i know that doesn't help much, and you would like to think that the widgets that come "bundled" with konfab (which is how i will refer to it from now on) would be pretty reliable. but, again, they are just to show off konfab's abilities... not necessarily to be the best clock or itunes remote or whatever out there. i'm nor even sure if arlo et al. will update the widgets as time goes on...

p.s. arbernaut, think you have enough volumes there? sweet holy mother..!

Analog Clock, Digital Clock and Calendar were all written by Arlo Rose, one of the creators of Konfabulator!!

well, yeah. you'll notice i didn't say it wasn't ARLO's fault, just maybe not konfab's. semantics, i know...

    Wow, what a funky app!

Not sure if I'll be a user or not, but this thing sure is sweet. One thing, I'd like to be able to scale the widgets and put them in the dock....I'll bet those are options if you buy it, or in a subsequent rev.
