This seems pretty darn nifty so far... wish I had a bit more screen real estate to put some of this stuff. C'mon everyone, start making some new widgets!

Veering off topic, Xidius, where did you get your desktop background? It looks pretty sweet.

    I want a widget to get RSS feeds, that would be the bombs! <img src="graemlins/cancer.gif" border="0" alt="[cancer]" /> <img src="graemlins/cancer.gif" border="0" alt="[cancer]" /> <img src="graemlins/cancer.gif" border="0" alt="[cancer]" />

I find it hard to believe that both my work Mac, my G4 and my ibook are all incorrectly configured - especially as OSX's date and time and iCal are correct? What does Konfabulator use to work out the date? <img src="graemlins/hmmm.gif" border="0" alt="[Hmmm]" />

Are these widgets intensely slow for ayone else? The picture frame took about five minutes to show up after I doubled clicked it (and repeated about five times).

The Widgets aren't too slow for me, they're pretty smooth actually. The only thing I had trouble with the widgets with was right-clicking it to get the menu. I wish the picture frame was made so that you could pick a folder, or at least just one picture. It would be cool to pick from a couple different frames too. I plan on creating one myself, eventually.

That is part of the Smoothicons 3 set. However, you will want to check out all the other Smoothicons sets if you like that one. They're all on <a href="http://www.iconfactory.com"; target="_blank">www.iconfactory.com</a> .

This is pretty cool. I don't have any way of posting my pictures online though. Basically I have everything on the left side... Airport and Battery side by side on top, then the digital clock under them, then the calendar, and finally the weather.

I tried some others but I didn't like them. Album Cover looks like it has real potential but it's really annoying to have to download all the pictures yourself and then put them in the right folder with the right name. Hopefully it'll be able to automatically do that eventually.

    Finally.

    <a href="http://www.uweb.ucsb.edu/~serrano/Pictures/Konfabulator.jpg"; target="_blank">Mandatory Konfabulator shot.</a>

These two have most definetly been incorporated into my workflow. Exactly what I needed.

Sweeeet. Little tedious to get all the art (Playalong helps, and I do prefer this to Playalong)..

I'd like a "Take a rest now" widget to tell us every so often to leave the screen and take a break!

    Drewprops that's a good idea.

konfabulator kicked my ass and I liked it.

    Thanks! (I think)

Actually, I don't know exactly WHAT it would be either....that's for you kids to figure out. Maybe something that lets you know that a thread has been updated since your last visit? Don't know how that would work.....but there's one idea.

Maybe an all-call to head to a chat room? Without you having iChat/AIM cranked up?

    Again: I don't know!

What exactly would it do and why would it be any better than posting in a real browser? Do we really need mini web browsers that only work for posting on one site?

[I tried to follow the instructions on duplicating the picture frame widget, and am NOT a power programmer =- I didn't get the instructions ref. opening the pictureframe.kon (from package) in text editor = I got the package open and the Contents but can't get that part of the package to let me duplicate it = do I need BBEdit or will TextEdit do or what next step am I missing....I like the ideas here ref things I'll try this out now.

Edit: Works great. Now I can duplicate the widget and have multiple frames choosing pics from different folders. Nice. Now all I have to do is create a few custom frames and I'll have a cute little setup.
