I don't know if I posted here earlier, but if I did, I'm changing my vote. It's now Eudora for me all the way. The interface takes some getting used to (maybe a lot of getting used to), and setting up filters could be easier (or if I could just RTFM, but, nah ). The big hurdle really was getting my entourage mail transferred (I've been using it a couple of years or as long as it's been out.) Once I figured it out, it wasn't hard at all to get it all working.

    For those who are interested:

    1) Launch Eudora at least once to get the directories set up.

    2) Drag your mail folder from entourage onto your desktop.

    3) Get resedit or some such program to change the resource fork to be type: TEXT and creator: CSOm.

    4) Drag the new file to your Eudora Mail folder (defaults to your documents folder).

    5) Relaunch Eudora. et voila!

It's snappy and I'm happy and I may pay for it to get rid of that DMB ad in the corner of my screen

[edit: Get it <a href="http://www.versiontracker.com/moreinfo.fcgi?id=10225&db=macosx"; target="_blank">here</a>. Try it out and see how you like it. Anyone got a replacement for the calendar in entourage?]

Belle: I've been wanting to reply to that comment for weeks, but completely forgot until the tread resurfaced. I would love to work for Qualcomm. It's just too bad I'm not working in the right field.

Also, and this is really annoying, not one of them can keep up with my typing. Grrr.</strong><hr></blockquote>

Blame it on OS X! I type my e-mails fairly slowly, so I don't have problems with Eudora. But when I type in Word (several hours a day), the lag is so bad I've completely given up on visual feedback while typing notes in class. I really hope 10.2 fixes the slow-as-molasses interface once and for all!

    On a related note, <a href="http://www.eudora.com/betas/"; target="_blank">Eudora is now at 5.1b23</a>.

(still loving Eudora, but shopping for a browser replacement for IE)
