What was 'domino' supposed to be?

I remember, by "ver. 3," AirPort was supposed to be a nationwide Internet/networking hub. I wonder if... nah.

Domino is a dedicated chip for converting digital audio, video and data signals, I believe. That is his guess for the iMacII. (think HDTV)

This is beginning to sound like a digital appliance, not an iMac. A set top box with access to broadband internet audio and video.

    Hmmm....

Domino can handle multiple streams at once.

    Here's another link.

    <a href="http://www.eetimes.com/conferences/ces/story/OEG20010105S0050"; target="_blank">Domino Chip</a>

My question is, does this eliminate the need for Altivec in some of the applications Apple uses it for?

    VERY INTERESTING!!!

That jeromba/kormac77 tete-a-teta almost reads as if it's scripted, doesn't it?

Makes me think more about Kormac77. He's closer to NDA than I previously thought AND cannot contain himself with what has been thought to be a breakthrough product in his OWN mind for 2 years. I think he's tied closer to this than I first thought.

It's almost HARDER to craft the petals of the flower so as to make it that much more tantalizing up to the last finale. So, Kormac77 also must have studied under experts in the art of the dance of a 1,000 veils. In other words, he's a stripper.

OK, now you have my attention. But how does all of this come together as an Apple solution? That is, it is a set top box? Still a computer with monitor? Integrated? Detachable? Tablet? With peripherals? Is it a peripheral itself? Having a chip isn't enough. How do you market it or make it presentable to the consumer?

I just have a bit of a problem picturing this thing.

I read the page again and it won´t be a apple producy released tomorrow:

[quote]LSI Logic will also show the first product in its network media processor product line, based on LSI Logic?s multi-stream, multi-format DoMiNo? architecture introduced at last year?s show. <hr></blockquote>
