PS did you also know that Microsoft came up with the quick finder concept? Again. I'm a mac user but msft never got the quick finder to work. But apple did and called it spotliight. Not an apologist here but the fanboyism from some is just silly and we haven't even gotten into Apple

forgetting Biut thw pros, dropping computer from the BMW Ns bwcomingba consumer cimpNy more interested in iPhone sales then helpingbthe pros. Al thosescreatibes that kept them Live pre iPhone days.

    When will MS learn.

MS is not Apple and never will be! MS keeps trying to be Apple (stores, Zune...) and is hilarious because they are so bad at it! They are completely different cultures! (view Balmer's Monkey Boy on stage presence against Job's iPhone debut on stage presence) MS sees Apple and want to be just like Apple (cool, makes quality products, have rabid fans...) but MS has no clue what makes Apple, Apple!

I hate to say it but the Apple PC vs Mac ads are really closer to reality then MS would like to think.

MS & Balmer especially, does not have a clue!

This would be a valid Windows 7 screenshot.

Thanks extremeskater, for the screen shot. I went to a pretty generic home electronics store over here in Australia so not that different from best buy I think. I think you're right I need to really see Win7 at home and have a proper play with it away from the store.

This (linked) piece of news was also posted here on AI some time back, if I remember right. It is pretty much says it all. They can deny all they want but they'd be better advised to stfu. Or maybe just SB should stop sending out such give-away memos. The über-dork.

TRUTH: Xerox had invested a million dollars into Apple?s development while it had no relationship with Microsoft.

A KGB former agent in his memoir once said; " When Russia wants to confirm any suspicion about the West and the USA, we make the suspicion in a public statement, and once the West make a public denial, we know we are right". Never believe it until it is officially denied.

And here it is so with Microsoft. What a shame!!!!

Ever heard of the anti-competitive practices of Microsoft?

MS was found GUILTY by both US and European governments.

As to the copyright case, Apple did not apply proper intellectual protection to its properties.

In addition, at that time people don't really understand copyright. Heck, people now a days still don't understand / respect copyright. There are always people willing to buy inferior knock offs.

The denial only concerns "style", such as the goo-goo-glassy windows, not substance. The substance of Mac OS X is still out there as having been copied. (And if you think I'm splitting hairs, you better believe a lot of attention was paid to the precise wording of the denial).

yes they do have a clue, as stupid as they may appear...

microsoft is a machine designed to copy from other people and to put competition out of business, they do not care about the customer, they hate customers

unfortunately, the real innovators, do not apply enough protection to their intellectual creations as it has been said...and that's why we have psystar as well

We will get touch feature when Apple release computers with touch screens. Meanwhile, there is Modbook, which is a modified MB with touch screen tablet style.

Exactly. That's what user joergsi would claim.

Only the gullible would believe Microsoft.

Microsoft?s 2009 Press Release calls the Scottsdale, AZ store as "the opening of Microsoft?s first-ever retail store." Somehow Microsoft forgot they opened a FAILED retail store in 1999.

But that's not all. Microsoft also calls the design of the Store ?Uniquely Microsoft.?

Oh god- who cares? It's all perception anyway. People in the US think Henry Ford invented the automobile.

Oh I just thought Apple always invents everything and has them available first. \

    I forgot:

1.) Microsoft has a Touch screen PC OS already available but Apple invented it.

2.) Microsoft had the first available Task Bar (since the 90's) but Apple invented it before they released their Dock in OSX.
