    Is that "memory-promo" to get rid of PMs, iMacs etc or to get rid of RAM-modules? If it is to clear out stocks of PM G5s, why would they release new models today?

    I'd say that the memory promo is the best indicator of the release date that we have.

    But at $5 a pop, it would be impossible for said poster to owe any amount of money that does not end in '0' or '5'.

    everybody ante up to play (token buy-in)

    post prediction (release date, specs, whatever)

    only unedited entries qualify

    winner takes the pot



    or would this violate some Guideline on 'gambling'

    I think for it to be legal no one could take a cut as a bookie. All the winnings would have to go to the person who won.



    The problem is how would you ensure that Apple employees or friends of Apple employees would not start betting?



    It would be interesting to see how accurate the betting market would be though.
