If you really want us to believe that you are indeed telling the truth, then you're going to have to do a whole lot better than come on here, and type down a bunch of specs. Pics? Sketches? Something!?
Do you really expect us to believe you?
There have been far too many people on these boards over the past four years who come here, and make wild ass predicitions about upcoming hardware.
You are right. The only chipsets that make use of a 400MHz FSB are the P4 motherboards. They don't use DDR. They use RIMMs.

These aren't the only chipsets that utilize a 400MHz FSB. Alpha's (now Compaq I suppose) oldish EV6 motherboards could use a 400MHz bus. I don't know if they did. I'm sure there's higher speeds available by now.
DDR seems the most likely route for RAM, perhaps PC2700 (DDR333), or the older PC2100 (DDR266). I don't think anyone wants to touch Rambus after all those lawsuits.
I think you guys would be quite surprised if you knew how many people really know what Apple's up to. I'm actually surprised that things aren't leaked more often. It seems everyone thinks "Only Steve and his close buddies know what's coming out", but this is simply not the case.
Think about everything a product goes through before it is released. Testing on the product is done, commercials are shot and edited. Photo's are shot, edited and sent to printers all over the country for ads and posters.
Just think about it and you can get the idea. A lot of people know. A friend of mine is even working on images of what ever is coming out at MWSF right now. He wouldn't tell me what it is (he's under NDA just like everyone else), and even if he did, I wouldn't tell you guys. That would ruin all the fun. He did say "Don't buy anything!" and I was like "Please, tell me something that I don't know."
Anyway, I'm not saying that this guy's legit or not, I'm just saying it's extremely possible he could be.

Why the name gigawire and not 100MegsWire?
Welcome back Kormac
100megs or 1000megs? Cause isn't 1000 megs a gig (technically) where as 100 megs is only, well, 100 megs?

I believe he meant 100 meters [of cable].

Prove it, or go home.
DDR Ram is a go with machines shiping with 266MHz DDR SDRAM. he new bus will be 400 Mhz or four times faster than the current G4 equivelant.
...
Unless I'm mistaken, 400Mhz is 3 times faster than the current G4s...
And I don't think it's possible to have a 400MHz FSB along with 266MHz DDR... Not sure though, can anyone back this up?

I'd say Apple would choose the 266MHz DDR route due to a wider acceptance of the format. RIMMs (PC800) are expensive.
