  • Ikea has a new Matter-enabled indoor air quality monitor

Looks interesting. Unfortunately, I have found that Ikea has about the worst customer service I've ever experienced when it comes to technical products.   Really hope they can get their act together.

  • Couple steals back their own car after tracking an AirTag in it

Perfectly safe in jolly ol England.  No one is allowed to have firearms there.

  • Apple CEO Tim Cook calls for racial equality in light of US shooting deaths

Really?  Senseless?  We know this how? Tragic, yes. But we don't know the facts.  This is why there are animosities.  Let the system work before making judgements.
  • US & China pausing tariffs does not end the needless damage being done to consumers and bu...

Lots of bashing, but Trump's policies are the first real attempt to right the ship in decades.

People think it's "not necessary" for this pain?  Well, let's just ignore the deficit a little longer

and see what kind of pain and damage comes our way.

  • Apple's $100 billion investment has almost nothing to do with US iPhone manufacturing

Nothing but pessimistic Trump bashing and liberal spin on our "education funding".

We spend PLENTY on education in America, but we spend it POORLY.  We do not need MORE MONEY for education, we need to toss out all the bull dung and bologna and focus on SKILLS and BASICS instead of useless woke indoctrination.   Too many high paid Administrators and fancy buildings, not enough going to teachers, allowing teachers to teach and maintaining DISCIPLINE and demanding SUCCESS out our public schools.

But how educated to you have to be to assemble an iPhone?   I think the Robots will be taking over most of this in the not too distant future.  Especially once we make it unattractive for communist dictatorships to force their multitudes into modern slave labor.

A lot of bashing Trump, but at least he is DOING something.   The last 6+ Presidents did nothing, or made things worse.   But, let's bash the guy trying to move the needle.

  • iOS 10, watchOS 3 & macOS Sierra betas debut for developers today, public testers in July

    Sorry, BIG YAWN.

Apple is supposed to be the leader in innovation.  These updates are mostly bug fixes and logical minor updates to the current OS.   Even if we ignore hardware, this is less than exciting.  Swift is nice, but it's a cross platform world, what is being done to allow Swift on other platforms?  What is Apple doing in the Cloud?  They have these mega server centers, and compared to say Microsoft and Amazon, I don't see what they are being used for.

I am an Apple fan since 1984, but this is getting to be too much status quo, and nothing really innovative.  Personal computing is changing rapidly, but Apple seems to be stuck.  And yes, we want to hear about new hardware, iPhone 7, iWatch 2, etc.  How about an update to the Mac Pro, or the Mac Mini?  Both are long in the tooth.  This slow, nothing really new progress is not what I have come to expect from Apple.  Hopefully more substantive announcements are in the wings.

  • Trump has a problem with Tim Cook, because Foxconn is building factories in India

These comments, "it is impossible", are frankly BS and why we are facing the problems we are facing now.

The truth will end up somewhere in the middle.  Many companies CAN do more here in the US.  As Americans we have

become addicted to cheap labor at our own long term expense.  We can do MORE in the USA.  Maybe some things

don't make sense, but we have to realize that many of the "cheap" products we are buying, are part of why our national

debt is getting cranked up.  We are paying, whether we see it out the cashier or not.   We are also paying a lot for many

middle men in Pharmaceuticals, Health Care, Education and more.  There are a lot of unproductive people out there

leaching off the American taxpayer.   If I have to pay $500 more for an iPhone and it starts to bring down our debt, so

be it.    Bash Trump all you want.  He's the only President in recent history to have the balls to face these facts and at

least TRY to do something about the problems.  It takes a BIG PUSHER to move BIG BUREAUCRACIES and the status

quo.  The middle men will not give up their loot easily.
