This is probably why Apple was trying to limit access to certain things to only vetted security researchers. There’s a huge amount of script kiddies out there that submit everything under the sun as a “security hole”, sometimes with screenshots and …

Holy moly, nitpicking about version numbering schemes. I see Solipsism is still here. I remember him back from the days when the Mac OS X Hints forum was still alive and well. I haven't been regularly posting on Apple-related sites in a while, but I…

Seems they're deleting comments on this post, as I mentioned the same thing. 15" has not yet been updated with Force Touch.

15" has Force Touch??

Trying to listen to some iTunes Radio stations and was getting errors too. I signed out and now can't sign back in. Guess I'll need to wait until they fix whatever's wrong to log back in.

Wow, Solipsism is still here after all these years? Been a while since i've posted anything here. The vast majority of people that steal things want to make fast and easy money. Steal phone, sell phone. Profit. Taking time and effort to carefully …

I'd assume used parts would sell for significantly less than an actual working phone. You can't use the mainboard with the CPU and NAND flash as that's locked to the account, so you'd have a used screen, used battery, maybe camera module and home/lo…

I still don't see the reason for this to exist. Even if it did exist, Apple would do something way more elegant than a hacky "split screen mode". Either you'd have an immersive full-screen app experience, or a windowed interface like in OS X. They w…

I don't mind the advertisements and affiliate links, but I do think that AI should be responsible and give a disclaimer or something for full disclosure.

The uninformed conspiracy theorists are already out claiming the government is using this to spy on you and whatnot. The EAS doesn't receive any data, it only sends a broadcasts a signal whenever there's an emergency, like for a tornado or somethi…

Lots of nice new features there, but not too keen on some of the new icons and the frosted look of "Control Center".

FYI, Brian Klug is a knowledgeable guy that writes for AnandTech. Don't confuse him with the developer that started this stupid rumor. He's the same guy that's been posting patches that supposidly make your phone's 3G/4G speeds a little faster, but…

Looks like they're also using different test servers. One says Pima, AZ and the other says Phoenix, AZ. There's a lot more variables to connection speed than a simple speed test, or even just looking through obscure plist files.

I'm not sure why everybody's calling it some sort of "security authentication chip." It started when some random guy decided to pry apart the cable, saw a chip in there, and assumed it was some kind of DRM chip. It's an active cable, just li…

Seems like the iPad mini is the new Verizon iPhone. I'll believe it when I see it. And I'm not talking about those alleged leaked cases from China. From the iPhone keynote a few weeks ago, Apple's already aware of the hundreds of generic And…

I still think this "iPad mini" rumor is just the new iPod touch. Instead of being released immediately, the 5th gen iPod touch is supposed to finally be released "in October," which is the same time this supposed iPad mini was pushed back to…
