I would think that they would get the M4 Studio out sooner than later. I can't imagine many people are buying the M2 variants currently available, especially since the M3 Max has been out in laptop form for months. I'm STILL waiting to upgrade my …

Looking forward to the M3 Mac Studio (probably Ultra) so I can finally retire my 2017 iMac Pro.

Let's hope the rumors about M3 Mac Studios are correct. If they were available today, I would buy one today. I'm pretty sure that once the M3 Max (MBP) was announced, orders for the M2 Mac Studio models were less abundant.

Let's hope it's mid year! I'm finally going to replace my 2017 iMac Pro.

It would seem silly to wait until the end of 2024 for the M3 Mac Mini, Mac Studio, and Mac Pro, since the M3 Pro and Max are already shipping in other products. I can't imagine many people are buying the M2 Mac Studio since the maxed out M3 Max MPB…

It’s clear to me after hearing Masimo’s CEO interviews that Apple is clearly in the wrong here, and they will need to play ball with Masimo if they want to retain their PulseOx features on the watches.

Just to give everybody an idea of how far we've come in only 6 years, the iPhone 15 Pro Max beats my old iMac 2017 (10 core) in 2 of the 3 Geekbench 0.6 ML benchmarks. The iPhone got CPU, GPU and Neural Engine of 2517,3560, and 6024 respectively. T…

The top Metal benchmark score today on their website is 3627.19 with the M3 Max with a 40 core GPU. The top NVIDIA score is 11412.38 with the GeForce RTX 4090. My older AMD Radeon RX 6900 XT GPU is getting 2171.32. So the M3 Max (40 cores) is an…

It's disappointing if Apple doesn't release the M3 Mini and Studio by June. They could release the standard, Pro, and Max versions right now, but they're probably waiting until they can build up an inventory of Ultra chips so they can release all o…

How about throwing the guts of an M3 Macbook Pro or Max into the Studio Display and call it the "27" iMac Pro?" The tooling is already there for the monitor and display. How hard could that be?

It seems certain that we’ll get an M3 Ultra. If they weren’t going to do one, they probably would have already released an M3 Max Studio to go along with the laptops.

Nonsense! Any personal computer these days should come with at least 16GB of RAM.

It's quite obvious to me that this current machine is a stopgap product. The quad M2 or whatever they were going to call it apparently either didn't work or they couldn't get it to scale. I'm sure their hope is that when the M3 becomes available, t…

For MOST users that need a few PCIe slots, a Sonnettech TB4/PCIe chassis is probably a better and cheaper route. I've been using their eGPU with my 2017 iMac Pro for several years now. (Yes, I know my eGPU will not work with the Apple Mac Studio, b…

I just saw the M2 UItra Metal result on GB: 281,948, which IS better than I can get with my eGPU, which gives me 191,426 on GB 6.1. So I guess Apple has accomplished what I was hoping they would.

Perhaps it's too early to write off the Mac Pro entirely. It's clearly a placeholder product. Here's a job description for a job Apple is currently trying to hire for:"As a GPU Design Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, lo…

Could you explain the statement "The reasons why for this are complex. It's not just about drivers -- Apple has decided that it didn't need a way for the Apple Silicon processor to talk to an external graphics card, at all, under any circumsta…

I'm getting 192,834 on Geekbench 6.0.3 metal with my 2017 iMac Pro with a TB3-based Sonnettech eGPU with a Radeon RX 6900 XT. It's disappointing that the M2 Ultra apparently can't even reach that number!
