Where I work, we use LCD monitors in some rooms instead of projectors. Especially the smaller conference rooms or those with very, very high ceilings. They work great for presentations with small groups. Right now, nearly every laptop we connec…

If the iMac had a DisplayPort connector, you could attach the new Cinema Display for a dual monitor setup. Quote: Originally Posted by teckstud Or give it light and make the whole face black? Get rid of the raccoon look please. Answer me so…

What about a full size bluetooth keyboard (with the number pad) that has an aluminum frame, black keys with backlighting and the glass touchpad underneath? Maybe it could also work with USB to charge the batteries or just use as a wired unit. …

I think the new Cinema Display would be perfect for a new Mac Mini! It would eliminate the "brick" power supply and make for a nice, clean setup.

I like it! I just wonder if Apple would place the camera on the front to use for chats, etc. (if they ever release one, that is!)

If Apple could create some type of NAS device with the same ease of use as OS X, one that "just works," there would definitely be one in my future!

Closing the iTMS early will cause a "small" loss of income. Yet I think that building hype does account for something, as well as the necessity of taking the store down to make whatever changes are forthcoming. If these "changes" are even close …

Update time... My iBook arrived Friday afternoon, and the CD tray will not eject on its own, or with a paper clip inserted into the eject hole. I also tried ejecting through iTunes with no luck either. The CD will make a clicking noise someti…

Here is the latest update... My iBook shipped late yesterday according to an email i received. So far, I have not received a reply to the message I sent to customer service concerning my experience. Though I probably shouldn't expect one too so…

I can't speak for the G4 iBook (I have a G3), but I take mine to classes and work all the time. It has been a wonderful comuter, and seems to take the traveling very well. Then again, I make a real effort to take care of it because it is my only…

There is a lot of discussion on the Apple support forums in regards to issues with the G5 iMac. That would be a good place to search. Just remember that most of those who post in support forums do so because they have problems. The majority who h…

I can't remember where I saw the picture, but it did seem as though the BT module was attached with two screws. It would be really nice to know from someone who has one.

I have an iBook G3 700 with the 16M Ati video card, so I'm not included in the CoreImage group... yet. Shortly after the first of next year I will purchase a 1.8 G5 iMac. Though if there will possibly be a Revision B iMac around that time, I can w…

I think that was a very inappropriate thing to say, and considering his position, he "should" have known better. Though it's not like he had much respect to lose. (Especially around here)

I like the idea of having the iPod be a "container" for your life to go. Having your applications and documents available at any computer you plug into, being able to watch a movie or view pictures when plugged into a TV or projector, etc.. "Hom…

To try and answer your questions: 1) The graphics card is soldered on the iMac motherboard. According to Apple though, the midplane assembly (which contains the GPU) is a user-replaceable part. This does not mean that Apple will eventually com…

I had the chance to try the 17" iMac G5 at the new Apple Store opening in Kansas City. I tried both the 1.6 and 1.8 models, and IIRC they both had 512 RAM installed. Both seemed to be more than acceptable for my needs, apps opened after the first …
