Really guys it's not that hard to figure out. All of apples notebooks are adopting a slate tablet form factor. The brick is an actual brick (made from recycled material) you place on your desk to prop the thing up.

they have always done this. When your standard 1 year is about to expire they usually call you to see if you want to extend. I think of it as more of a courtesy than a bother.

boot from your OS disk that came with the computer, Once it loads up you can access disk utilities from one of the menus at the top of the screen. You can format the drive from within there.

512 is deff usable, but your really not using the machine to it's full potential. I put 2 gig's in today and it's much better I would say 1 gig minimum for a nice experience.

no problems with mine so far, black, it gets warm but not crazy
