  • God I wish my "Preparation H applicator" was a 8" rod! Some of us are forced to live with a paltry 6" and a quick kiss goodnight!!! [ 01-30-2003: Message edited by: warpd ]
  • I agree with that! I think that Apple has been tired of the lull for 3 months before every MacWorld for some time. This provides them with an "out". I think that they will stick with the one time January trade show. This, to some degree, protect…
  • You know it was some pissed off mac user, who did not want to pay $129 for Jaguar!!
  • [quote] It looks pretty unique to me. I'll bet that many people would buy that. Probably the same people who bought the flower power iMac! NOBODY bought the "Flower Power" imac! They sold one of them in the whole US, and the name on the receipt…
  • I am looking to trade my iBook 700, and a Powermac 500 (DVD-RAM) for a PB G4667 Both are totaly loaded, let me know if you are [email protected]
  • I had the Grado 60's and now I use Sony MDR-7509, the model up from the Sony MDR-7506's and THEY ARE BADDASS!! I use them with my iPod, and they blow the grados out of the water. Of course, they cost almost $200, but well worth it. True studio so…
  • I live in Boston, and I think (naturally) that this ROCKS!!! Below is the e-mail address for IDG. Let them know that we want it back in beantown! If you want them to stay in NY use the second address... :-) [email protected] bostonkic…
  • Once again, thank you! You saved me from having to post. As long as you don't need to join a domain, and don't care about the "Remote desktop" feature and a few other **MINOR** networking things, it is an identical OS.
  • [quote] Will all of you quit dragging MS into these threads just to try and make current grim situations in the Mac world appear better?!?! My god - GROW UP! And for the record, the WinXP upgrade (which was a complete overhaul - as I mentioned befor…
  • [quote] but this is a special case with OSX cuz this is the os we were supposed to have in the first place. Even apple admits that the OS was not finnished. I agree! 10.1 was widely regarded as being that complete OS. That explains why Apple of…
  • I think a distinction needs to be made...Apple never charges $149.00 for "updates". Updates to the OS are always free (10.1-10.1.5...) Yesterday, if you were to go to the Apple store, and look for an "upgrade" from 10.04 to 10.1 it would have cost y…
  • Huh? More than an hour?? Must be some pretty big headphones that you are using. I think that part of my problem is, that I bought some Sony MDR-7509 studio headphones, they seem to suck up the juice much more quickly than the lil' earbuds. But D…
  • Hey guys, I installed the 1.2 update last week, it is really cool...I do have one question... Has anybody else noticed a **significant** difference in battery life. Not for the better, I might add. I was easily getting the 10 hours before, now i…
  • Another way to go, would have been to offer it bundled with a Firewire card, (either PCI or PC Card) This would create the same "seamlessness" for windows users. It would be an "iPod certified firewire card, and would just make the whole experience…
  • Very cool!! If we each convert one person, Apple doubles it's market share! As for the USB, I agree it would suck ass, but it would still let more people use it, all be it more slowly. The only time it would be really painfull, is when you first …
  • I have to say, that I think it was a great mistake for Apple not to include a USB port (either USB 1, or 2) on the windows version. I am a proud Mac user so firewire meets my needs, but these windows ones would really fly off the shelves if they ha…
  • That would make me # 92. 5 Gig, bought it the first day it came out, loved it ever since! Recently started encoding at 256 mind you, and I must say, the 10Gig is looking mighty appealing!
  • Jaguar has native support for PPTP connections. You should have no problem whatsoever! Just choose PPTP from the pulldown in the network system preferences, map it to you server/router, and you are in business.
  • If you are using OS9.X, you should be able to print through the desktop using USB printer sharing. I am not sure if this has yet been inplimented in OSX. No doubt an ethernet printer is a simpler way to go, but also a more expensive one.
