Apple should kick off Moto as soon as they can and went to IBM. The 1GHz G3 was out months before the 1GHz G4. Apple should buy AltiVec and then goodbye to Moto.

[quote]originally posted by raiger77 Toshiba is still selling the 5GB drive used in the iPod for $399. I believe Toshiba wouldn't like Apple to sell the iPod for a price lower than the drive alone. Sure, Apple doesn't pay $399 but it is still …

I'm facing the same problem, but only with lower sound volumes. With higher sound volumes the problem won't appear. very strange indeed. SC

If I can get an evaluation version, I would try Office v X too. Mithral, if you're playing games which only run under 9 (Civ III for example), it is more comfortable to use two partitions, cause you can use the boot manager to choose the sys…

Speaker for the dead, the logitech is a bit too short to be comfortable. The IntelliMouse owns a thumb button at the right side, but that button is usable for left-handers, but I can't use it really, it should be placed at the corner to the front (i…

Hi Ender. (inspired by Orson Scott Card?) @ work I use an IntelliMouse Explorer since last year. More than 200 days packed with 8 to 15 hours of work and the mouse is still fine. Its big enough for my large hands, the Logitechs are excellent but a …

The IntelliMouse Explorer is a very, very good mouse, stay with her. M$ should give up windows and carry on as hardware vendor, doing a much better job there.

The DVD player converts the movie to a NTSC or PAL signal at playback. There should be no problem.

I thought production is starting @ 100.000/month and ramping up later on? They will have to increment production soon enough. Or: Apple will sell 1.3M and deliver 0.8M How to get the current number of orders/sales, does anybody know?

The HD is running @ 5400 rpm. Performance, hmm, look here at that thread, maybe it will answer your question:

I talked to a Apple seller saturday and he said, that Apple delivered about 75.000 Imac 2nd generation and still has >250.000 preorders. This means >325.000 orders @ six weeks. Preorders 1st iMac 150.000 @ 26 weeks. Think about this nu…

Apple had 150.000 preorders for the iMac 1 in 3 month and same number for iMac 2 in 3 weeks. If they could manage to produce faster, they can sell > 2.000.000 this year, I presume.

Production will grow in the next month. They sold 6.000.000 first generation iMacs in less then 4 years, that are more then 125.000 per month. Assuming that they will sell more second generation iMacs, they'll have to increase production up to 200.…

In Europe the iSub is at about 60-70? without taxes and sometimes marked with the words "new price". I will get one if my iMac will arrive this year.
