Echoing the sentiments above. I bought Epoc for 8 bucks and it's fine. Camo looks good and has some additional features, so I'd like to try it. For a $10-15 flat purchase I'd probably give it a whirl. Knowing that the full version is $40/year will k…

cjcampbell said: I want autocorrect turned off completely. I use a lot of specialized words and jargon. I'm sick of having to constantly argue with a stupid machine over the correct spelling of a word. Besides, autocorrect does not fix the m…

Wow, didn't think my little list would cause such a debate! I don't see how the concept can't be clear to anyone. A 5th generation piece of hardware exists already. Apple calls it the iPhone 4S. It also seems clear that they've decided to let …

It's really driving me nuts how everyone (bloggers, reporters, analyists, consumers, etc) continue to refer to the upcoming "iPhone 5". The 4S is the iPhone 5. If anything, the next model will be called the iPhone 6. 1 - iPhone 2 - iPhone 3G 3…

Why would we need AirPlay baked into the Netflix app, when we already have Netflix on the AppleTV itself?

Maybe someone can dig this up, because I can't remember when or where I read it. I seem to recall reading a blog post or 2 a few years back that covered an email reply from Steve to a customer regarding Gorilla Glass. The customer had emailed to…

Also glad to hear I'm not the only one with this issue. I don't use the actual phone function very much, but did experience this on Saturday. I received my phone delivery on Wednesday, and overall, calling has been fine. With one particular call …

Myself, my fiancee, and a co-worker all received our iPhone 4's on Wednesday. None of us have the screen blotch issue or the vanishing signal bar issue. So hopefully those problems are only affecting a small number of units.

I think it's going to be the combo of hardware, software, and content that makes the iSlate so appealing. The first iPods were great, but it wasn't until the iTunes Store was available that iPod really exploded. Likewise with the first-gen iPh…

It dawns on me that we've seen the leaked matte rear casing for the supposed new iPhone. While all of the rumors I've seen say that this is just to minimize scratches/smudges, I wonder if it might be related to induction charging? Palm announc…

You guys need to check your FireWire sync section of the comparison chart. You have the 3rd gen Nano listed as not being able to charge via FW. In reality, it can. It just doesn't support FW sync. You might want to check the ability of other…

Wow, lots of negativity in response to that idea! Yes, I am aware that A2DP degrades audio quality. As you said, most people don't do lossless anyway. Most people would never know the difference. I can't tell you how many times I notice people…

You'll want something like this. Nice thing is that it has the adapter, so you can use it to connect your notebook to your home theater, or you can remove the adapter to use it as a normal optical cable between other HT components. http://www.xt…

I have a 2.2Ghz 15" MBP that I got in July '07. It has the Wireless N card, but I use it with a D-Link Wireless G router. No problems, and I use the MBP fairly far away from the router, with multiple floors/ceilings/walls between me and the rout…

Anything's possible, that's true. We currently have 8GB Nanos, iPhones, and Touches all co-existing peacefully at various price points. So sure, a 16GB nano could exist without updates to the Touch or iPhone lines. The recent updates to the i…

I'd say get a notebook when you need it or when your window allows. Then get an external BR drive if one hasn't been built into the notebook. Wouldn't sweat the built-in BR drive, as I don't think it's going to happen for quite a long time.

Lesson to be learned: Consult this site - http://buyersguide.macrumors.com/ before buying a new Mac. Also, don't be a whiner. All that happened was a little spec bump. For me, my first Mac purchase was a 15" G4 Titanium Powerbook in late s…

Yeah, I think a spec bump for the iMac is in order sometime this month. Will it be tomorrow? Maybe. Apple seems to be keen on keeping up with the "updates every Tuesday" this year. Now that Penryn's been dropped into the notebooks, the iMac is…

They'll do like they do every fall - update the entire line. They won't increase the Nano to 16GB until they can can offer the touch at capacities around 32GBand 64GB for the low and high-end, respectively. They wouldn't make a 16GB nano while t…
