When they say updgrades to MacBook in weeks do they mean just MacBooks or MacBook Pros as well. According to the Macrumors buyers guide the Macbook Pro is in the middle of the average model cycle, though I realize you never know.

What I don't get with Apple and MacMall is both say order for delivery on Oct 26th but do you have to choose the most expensive overnight shipping to actually receive it on Oct 26th? Amazon says this product ships on Oct. 26th.

Does anyone know if you purchase Leopard through Apple and choose the standard free shipping, will you still receive Leopard by Oct 26th or do you have to choose overnight shipping?

I just placed an order with Amazon even though after placing the order it says it will ship around Nov 12th. I hope it ships earlier than that though.

Which do you think would ship faster, Amazon or MacMall?

Whatever these laptops are or replacing the Apple MacBook surely needs an update to it's casing. I just came home from an Apple Store and all of the MacBook's on display looked like crap. The Black MacBook's trackpads were terribly worn and the case…

I played with the Sony TZ191 yesterday, man that is a beautiful ultra portable laptop. It's a shame that Apple which prides itself on being on the leading edge of computer technology (I think) doesn't have something like it. I really don't understan…

I used the new 24" iMac for half an hour at the Apple Store today. I can tell you that it is truly beautiful, much nicer in person than any of the pictures including Apples own suggests. And the keyboard is stunning as well, it felt very well made …

I bought an Apple Airport Extreme Base Station on July 31st from the Apple EDU store. Will Apple exchange it for me without charging a restocking fee? I'm on the phone now but it looks like it's going to be a long wait.

Most definitely a smart move. I used to work on 5th Ave between 33rd and 34th streets directly across from the Empire State Building. It is not the area for an Apple Store, it is really an area with a lot of factories and tourist trap shops. When I …

barefeats.com says the new spec 23" Cinema Display is an improvement over the previous version: August 18th, 2006 -- New Apple 23" Cinema impresses. We ordered a new 23" Cinema display for our Mac Pro 3GHz. This new model (numbers starting with 2A6…

The strange thing to me is I've never read complaints about this particular problem with any other LCD display on a notebook. It makes me think maybe it's some kind of firmware issue that could possibly be fixed but of course I'm nor sure.

The 30" Cinema Display is not the same price since it's launch. Originally it was priced at $3,299 but about 2-3 months after it's release the price was dropped to $2,999.

On my dual processor Quicksilver desktop one of the processors went so I was very glad I had AppleCare. I purchased AppleCare for my G5 just a week before it was a year old for peace of mind. AppleCare is like any other insurance, if you never need …

Well with the aluminum Powerbook you basically have to take it apart to replace the hard drive. It's not for the faint of heart or for someone who is not handy. It's definitely doable and there is a document that shows the steps to do it but if you …

The IBM T42 is a great laptop. Let's face it there is better and faster hardware available for PC notebook computers but what is not available is an OS that is a pleasure to use like OS X, a PC notebook that is as nice looking as the Powerbooks, the…

As the owner of both the 15" and 17" aluminum Powerbooks I have to say the displays are sorely lacking, I almost said sucks but that might be too strong. They are dim and washed out compared to the current crop of very recent notebook displays and A…

All I can tell you is the fan on the 6800 Ultra is a lot quieter than the fan on the OEM ATI 9800 card my G5 came with, that card put out a really annoying high pitched noise. To me the 6800 is a pleasure.

If only I had waited a month, along with the $300 reduction in price of the 30" Cinema Display the new ATI X800 XT video card is $100 less than the Nvidia 6800 Ultra. Could have saved a cool $434 including tax, thats a pretty big hit to take so soon…

I don't believe the Nvida 6800 Ultra Mac edition really exists.
