…there's an endgame where him and his insiders get rich…
Yes, him will get rich. Them all will. Me know it.
We're headed back to the Neanderthal era, might as well roll back our language accordingly.
I think he was merely having a go at you for saying "him and his insiders".

  • Leaker wars escalate, Jon Prosser shows alleged iOS 19 redesign

I do not like the look of these "squircle" icons. I prefer the icons to be either round, or square with subtler rounded edges, like they are now.

Then again, we'll know for sure in June.

  • Apple integrates Apple Intelligence-powered Writing Tools into new iWork updates

Here is something I had done recently. I had to prepare a document based off another document someone sent me pictures of. It wasn't even a proper scanned document. It was just pics that were clicked of the pages.

I saved the pictures and then used the text identifier in Photos to get all the text and copy it into Notes. Then I used the AI writing tools to rewrite the entire document. Then I searched and replaced whatever had to be changed, gave the new document a once-over, saved it to Pages and exported it to Word.

The amount of time for the entire exercise was about 45 minutes. If I had to write the document myself, I would have spent a couple of hours on it.

The entire world is moving towards using these automated tools. I am sure that pretty soon you will not be able to use Windows without using Copilot.

I may not be able to generate a picture from my wedding reception in the style of Studio Ghibli on the Images Playground, but I can use the Writing Tools to save time.

I do not underestimate how useful Apple Intelligence will be.

  • iOS 18.4 lands with more Apple Intelligence, Apple Vision Pro app

I am updating my iPhone right now (hoping this isn't some April Fool's Joke!).

I have AI enabled and have not had any problems with it. I do not use my phone a lot, so maybe I am not accessing stuff where the AI gets intrusive or irritating.

What little I have use, like the Writing Tools and Notification Summaries, work well for me. The Images Playground is okay. Some caricatures are spot on, while some look nothing like the people I base it off.
It is nice that I can use ChatGPT without creating an account for it. I trust Apple to maintain my privacy even when they open up Apple Intelligence to the other AI assistants.

For me, AI is not the bane that is killing my iPhone.

  • Apple is reportedly investing heavily into Nvidia servers for AI development

@Kju3, I found your post informative, but why the snark towards "Apple fans"?
