  • iPad busts teachers abusing special needs kids at UK school

I personally know someone in the UK whose son is a special needs student. The kid faced bullying and taunts from a couple of the teachers who do not seem to be equipped to deal with special needs students.

44 years later and we still need no dark sarcasm in the classrooms. Teacher, leave 'em kids alone...

  • Apple Vision Pro vs Meta Quest heatsets - how the approaches compare

Another announced feature that Apple has that Meta does not is the 3D photos and videos.

I remember getting a 3D photo done with my wife ages ago. Essentially, a 3D version of the heads were etched within a glass cube. What Apple is doing is the next logical thing and it is going to be an exciting way to view photos and videos.
I don't get the people getting their panties in a bunch when the video showed a father wearing the headset during his kid's birthday. People get upset over the silliest of things.

Speaking of content though, it would be super-limiting if the only movies I could watch are those purchased/ rented via iTunes. I assume Netflix, Prime Video, et. al. would have apps on visionOS soon enough, but it would be amazing if there was some way to use physical discs to watch movies.

  • macOS Sonoma beta review: Few major updates, but very welcome

Next thing you know, the last macOS suddenly seems very old. For AppleInsider, switching back and forth between macOS Sonoma and macOS Ventura, it took less than an hour before we wanted to stay in Sonoma.

Hah! My 5K iMac is left wanting macOS Montery! I cannot believe it has already been 9 years since I bought it!!

  • Why Apple Vision Pro has a chance at being the future of work

    JP234 said:
Apple never even mentioned future possibilities in the healthcare, military, legal or financial sectors. They also never mentioned the integration possibilities with AI. That's where the real money is going to gush like a firehose.
Apple may suggest future possibilities at an individual user level, but wouldn't mention future possibilities with big ecosystems/ enterprises.

If there is something in the works, Apple wouldn't mention it till it is ready and if there is nothing in the works, they wouldn't want to create any speculations.

  • Up close and hands on with Apple Vision Pro at Apple Park

I don't begrudge Apple or Tim Cook for unveiling this now. It is an impressive piece of technology and seems baked enough for consumption.
I am looking forward to using it.

Also, a shout-out to AppleInsider. Their render more or less nailed the look of this device!
