  • Australian court is the latest to attack Apple on behalf of rich corporations

Would we ever accept an ISP blocking some sites and features like local shopping "to protect us"? Do we want or need a gatekeeper on apps? A warning perhaps - but a gatekeeper?  And the 30%... that Apple then lowered to 15% after massive political pressure.

People experience a juggernaut going from lost cause to lost cause in courts while taxing customers on memory, taxing developers, blocking app-installations, and blocking upgrades. Apple should go win some hearts.
Actually, we DO need an app gatekeeper. but not in a censorship way. that's awful and apple is guilty of that as well. But we DO need someone to make suer the appas arent' nefrarious in their coding, spying, etc.
If there's ever an App Store on iOS that guarantees that, you'll be free to use it.

Right now, there's only one option, and it notoriously doesn't.

    So, here's hoping: 🤞
Grow up! Apple does a much better job than any Android or Google store. The EU will have their own side loading and I don’t wish them
luck. They will get what they refuse to pay for, a ton of garbage apps with plenty of malware, including some from their governments.

As for their 30% fee, that’s nothing compared to what regular stores charge. Apple handles the server and payments system. Honest developers love the Apple app stores because they don’t have to create and monitor their own which can be very expensive.

  • Apple urges court to ignore Epic's anti-steering complaint

I want the courts to go after Epic instead of Apple. Epic wants everything for free.

  • JP Morgan drops Apple target price over questions on when AI iPhone will launch

JP Morgan: "We don't really understand AI or where it is going. We don't know when and what Apple will  be doing with AI, but it will be probably late, although we really don't know what that means because nobody else has done anything meaningful with AI in smartphones. So: sell, sell, sell!" I don't get why anyone would listen to these clows.
I’ve always wondered why financial institutions think they know anything about technology, especially anything Apple makes. The majority of them are required to use Windows PCs because they are locked into Windows server software. Apple products are for creative people not number crunchers who are never creative. 😉

  • EU questions whether Apple has changed anything after its $1.95 billion fine

For those of you supporting the EU, Apple created, manufactured and sold their products following the laws of every country they’ve sold in AT THE TIME OF ORIGINAL SALES. The EU has enacted new laws specifically to force changes to Apple products that benefit the EU, not necessarily consumers. The EU wants money and suing Apple is their way of getting it.

  • EU questions whether Apple has changed anything after its $1.95 billion fine

As I've said many times before, people have plenty of choices on what products they want to buy. If you don't like Apple's way of doing things go with an Android platform or demand a company in the EU to build a new platform. Just because Apple's platform is the one many people want to use doesn't mean the EU has any right to tell Apple what to do. If you don't like what Apple is doing, find another platform. It's just like wine. If you don't want to pay for wine made in the EU, then grow your own, which the USA has done.
