  • AI-enhanced Apple Glass smart glasses set for 2026 release

"Digital assistant Siri will obviously be involved with the glasses, which should also be in a greatly improved form by the time they launch."

It is funny what they think will actually be a reality.  They can't even get Siri to work well on the phone, and that has been around for 14 years...and users are still waiting.  They still botched it and now they claim iOS 19.  Not likely.  This seems like it was written by that Apple Shill Ryan over at 9to5.  His articles have destroyed the credibility of that site with all his fantasy pieces that he claims are reality.

Siri can work great/better on a Apple device however, Apple will need to change gears and become more like Google and tie your iPhone your Mac, and your iPad to a much larger behind the scene always on always connected to your device back of house Apple servers without absolutely any worries about your privacy whatsoever a`la Google, Meta and Microsoft who don’t care because you ain’t there customer you’re their mark.

A lot of this sounds like all the complaints about Amazon Alexa remember those little cheap speakers (what happened to those things?) that talk to you that were turned on always connected and phoned home to the back of house infrastructure that was Amazon nice parlor trick at the time, and Apple should duplicate it because they’re behind. What are they gonna do? Apple is in trouble again.

At the end of the day Apple can give in and also do that always connected phone home absolutely no privacy solution, Apple could be working towards that but unlike the others they also have Apple Silicon and they’re still working on those M5/M6 Ultra’s servers behind the scenes to complete that task maybe?

I hope Apples goal is to still create a on a edge solution because Apple has the hardware and the software under one roof to make it happen their competition does not they have to go with the back of house on their super computer solution, in addition to the fact that the also want to create a moat around AI, that certainly is OpenAI, Meta and Microsoft goal because none of them have any mobile hardware in house whatsoever, and Google’s which does has some it is one of the weakest processors used in mobile today.

And last, but not least, whose profitable gatekeeper infrastructure, are they planning on using for free by government decree if necessary, are they planning on using to accomplish their moat in AI. (filled with users willing to pay despite a relatively small market size, the breakdown will be similar to the iOS/Android App marketplace profit breakdown worldwide).

  • Inside Pages for Mac -- how to get the most out of Apple's best writing tool

I like Pages a lot because it allows you to write and it stays out of your way, the layout part of Pages is well beyond Microsoft Word, Pages is fun quick and easy to use. Apple mistake was making Pages, Numbers and Keynote free.

Apple should’ve have kept/maintained a placeholder price for the programs (in the early gold rush days making something free seems like a good idea, but in time the public, developers and Government/Judges will start to see you as a gatekeeper and source of free infrastructure no problem).

One other mistake in this area was not buying Freehand when it was available before Adobe bought Macromedia and extinguished the program however all was not lost. Apple did manage to buy the program from Macromedia that later became Final Cut Pro.

Nice article I learned something more about Pages.

  • Trump demands 25% tariff on any iPhone not made in the US

The reasons given that prevent iPhones from being made in the US - “there is not the required skilled labor, there is not a supply of the rare minerals needed, and there are no facilities.” - can be dealt with, but would take years to implement. It’s not impossible, but the overnight change the Orange Man wants can’t happen.  Does he really not understand this?

One decade to two decades of work to make it happen essentially thru 2 1/2 to 5 American administrations. And it doesn’t matter who’s in power because long range planning has not been a strength of the American political system in a long time if ever.

  • WWDC 25 visionOS 3 wishlist: what we'd like to see next for Apple Vision Pro

WWDC.. And Apple is still pushing Vision Pro???

While Alphabet delivers impressive Google I/O, Apple still plays with such failed features.

Google, no Apple Silicon no five ecosystems no tablets of any note, or any OS worth having and likes to Snitch to the any government at hand like Microsoft and Meta when they don’t get their way, Google who creates me-too products that phone home at every chance, because their mobile processors are five generations behind Apple yeah Apple wants to be in their position not….

To top it off there is no moat (courtesy of DeepSeek more smart people are getting access) around AI we are entering an era of AI agents where you can assign a agent to do the searching to your specifications locally without Google, Microsoft, Meta, or OpenAI. The best thing about this new AI era coming up is that Apple has to get into making in house servers (kicking and scratching) for their long term in-house needs and as a consequence, Apple needs to make computers that go beyond 512 gigs of memory with bandwidths that go beyond 800, but the good thing for everyone is the fact that those very same computers can be used by users and developers alike. The M5 and the M6 series are going to be total beasts, and the M5 is rumored to be even more powerful and even more energy efficient than the previous generations.
