wood1208 said:AMAZON is EVIL! Walmart is same to me as don't accept ApplePay. Costco,Target and rest of retailers are better who accepts ApplePay for customers convenience. Once my Driver license and Passport goes on iPhone; don't need to take wallet with me. Let me be free of plastic cards. -
iPhone 12 Pro Max battery smaller than iPhone 11 Pro Max, according to regulatory filing
tomasulu said:Meanwhile Android phones have 4500mah so they can do 5g AND 120hz screen. I just don’t get apple’s priority sometimes.I use an 11 Pro max daily since launch and the battery life is outstanding, but it's heavy as hell IMHO. 12 Pro max is getting even a bit heavier. At this weight cramming a big ol 5000mah battery in it will give people wrist problems! Haha The answer isn't a bigger battery..Apple shows this by getting the same (claimed ) battery life out of a smaller battery in the 12 Pro Max.
Yes android phones "do' 5g and 120hz but battery life suffers even with those huge batteries. It also creates way more heat during use.. We have seen batteries have issues with heat in the past.. I don't want anything like that going on with my iPhone! I would love 120hz as well I have used an iPad pro 10.5in and currently a 2020 11in. It's so smooth and the pencil response is amazing. I just don't want it if I have to settle on less battery life, which I think Apple is trying to avoid with iPhone. This is from Samsung's website..You may notice that your phone's battery drains faster than usual while you are connected to a 5G network. This is a limitation of the current 5G networks, and will be improved as the networks expand.Because your phone is connected to multiple networks simultaneously, the battery will drain faster than one would typically expect, and the phone may get warmer than when solely on 3G or LTE.Does 120hz drain battery?120Hz screen will consume a lot of battery juice, but you shouldn't even worry about it. The S20 Ultra with the screen set at the default 60Hz lasted nearly 12 hours in Tom's Guide test, while the 120Hz S20 Ultra died after nine hours and 13 minutes.

However, while this phone offers a lot of endurance with the display in 60Hz mode, using the 120Hz refresh rate on the Galaxy S20 ultra's screen take a huge toll on battery life.

'AirPods Studio' renders based on leaked video surface
flydog said:fred1 said:I still don’t get why these are called “AirPods”. Aren’t they headphones? Aren’t AirPods those little guys that go in your ears?
And even if it doesn't, what's the difference?Headphones started out being used by telephone operators to keep their hands free while they worked.

Developer says Apple rejected update for not forcing auto-billing on users
Peza said:sflocal said:dysamoria said:I’m absolutely with the developer here, on this issue.
70% of something is better than 100% of nothing.
whiners. It’s not only an anti competitive move but very clearly anti consumer and I’d argue in come countries potentially illegal. I’m glad the developer stood up to Apple on this one.So Apple should get nothing for hosting an app in a store they run and maintain? Customer's should also have no responsibility to remember to cancel before they are charged, or as someone stated above immediately cancel ( via subscriptions ) on your device so you get the free trial period and no chance of auto renew? There comes a time when grown adults have to take at least some responsibility for their actions, transactions or subscriptions or whatever else..haha my goodness. This developer also did the same thing with Google and the Playstore because of the same policy. Whether or not the 30% fee is too much is a whole other discussion.Besides not wanting to pay the 30% fee they make a point out of the unwillingness of Apple to allow them to issue refunds. Which makes it seem like Apple isn't willing to refund customers and this is impacting many customer's experience?complete disbelief from those users when we explain that Apple won't allow us to issue refunds."Yet if you look at this from support..Problem with a subscription?
You can request a refund. You can also cancel the subscription.
It seems Apple is willing to work with customers if they feel they need a refund? I have never tried this so I can't speak on how many refunds are actually done. It makes me feel like Apple not letting the Devs give out refunds is because they prefer you go to support and get it done through them. Just an observation...

Review: Sony X800H HomeKit TV is an excellent mid-tier set
rundhvid said:Question 1:
Are there any current 4K TV’s available WITHOUT AnthraxOS?
Question 2:
In case the answer is depressingly No, to which degree can the AnthraxOS be disabled in TV’s from the various manufacturers?
Question 3:
Could a monitor—e.g. the LG 5K from the store—double as a TV?
My personal use of a TV is exclusively to watch movies and streaming from an TV.
next: initiate Kickstarter project: 4K TV sans AnthraxOS! It should be an immediate success 👀
