BBC cries foul over lack of branding for its Apple News stories
It's not that Apple doesn't credit the publications/websites it draws Apple News items from; they do.The logos of the companies the stories come from just aren't very prominent in the headline view, and even less so when you expand the story to read it (they're at the very top and no place else). More prominent "logo" branding in the headline view and something like an animated "From (source/logo) in the expanded view before revealing the story would be better. People have a hard time paying attention these days, not that I blame them. -

CarPlay in iOS 18.4 arrives with disconnection issues for some
Haven't tested this thoroughly, but so far no problems on any of my devices on iOS 18.4, and no problems with CarPlay.I have an older Mac (Intel i9) that got the update, and no problems there either -- unless you count constantly wondering if macOS 16 will still support Intel Macs, not that I plan on keeping this reliable-but-noisy Intel Mac for much longer anyway. -

Now check your Mac's available Wi-Fi networks. Your iPhone will be seen as one of them. Join it.Done. When the hotspot is no longer needed, turn it off.Works 50% of the time(more seriously, if your cell signal is very weak, there's a good chance it won't work as well as it does for city-dweller me) -
