Trump's 25% smartphone tariff starts just in time for the iPhone 17
bushman4 said:Apples biggest problem is not the 25% tariff it’s the fact that they’ve fallen behind on AI , Foldable iPhone etc.
People will pay for technology that’s state of the art with all the bells and whistles. Apple has to catch up on AI or buy a company and integrate it into Apples AI
also Apple glasses everybody’s waiting let’s go
You don't see them in the wild outside some of the richer Asian nations, and they are certainly not a mass-market item even several years after introduction, to say nothing of the poor durability of them. -

Cook can address it.Cook's not new at this. You might recall he was COO before he became CEO. That's why Apple's logistics are so incredibly good. The biggest problem Apple -- and the world -- faces right now is a delusional senile old man and his enablers in Congress who seriously believes you can build a world-class iPhone manufacturing plant and the attendant logistical infrastructure (because iPhones are clearly made in ONE plant, right?) as fast as you can, let's say, bankrupt a casino. -
Inside Pages for Mac -- how to get the most out of Apple's best writing tool
For non-complex documents, I prefer Pages as a page layout tool over InDesign and QuarkXpress. I need to take a deeper dive into Affinity Publisher, but it seems to be a worthy competitor as well. There is much beauty and pleasure in a well-presented document, both from the creator's and the reader's viewpoint. -
Trump is too busy for his own tariff negotiations, so will dictate terms instead

Putting aside any political opinions on the current President, he does objectively seem to be more erratic and unclear since the last time he was in office. This is having a dramatic effect on the US economy and international relations. Even his usual allies seem concerned and confused by his king-like edicts and general behaviour.
