Apple event in downtown Brooklyn brings theater to retail
This is really exciting!
What a great opportunity for Apple to make a good first impression on Brooklyn with its new store, and new products introduced at a new venue!
I remember all the brouhaha over Apple pulling out of the MacWorld Expos years ago. But that was just Apple seeing the writing on the wall and making another bold move as part of its overall strategy for the future.
The various old licensing agreements didn't work at all: clone manufacturers and authorized dealerships weren't doing Apple any favors.
But higher price margins financed its present-day independence from all of that mess, as well as its R&D efforts in bringing us new and ever-better products.

magman1979 said:For anyone using copies of Creative Cloud licensed via your enterprise, DO NOT update your apps!
This update, especially to Lightroom CC, just nuked the enterprise license we use at my workplace, and now the bloody POS is demanding an Adobe ID to use the app, and when I click Cancel it just shuts down. Using the re-serialization utility to re-apply the enterprise license is inoperative now.
Now I have to roll back my Mac to regain Lightroom functionality.
Adobe, FU with your horrendous subscription model and your constant holding of user data hostage when you screw up your licensing with your enterprise vendors! I swear with each screw up you make I'm leaning more and more towards dumping your shit software and going to the likes of Affinity, Pixelmator, on1 Software, anything except you!!! -
Apple drops BeatsX pricing, cuts several color options
I tried Air Pods first, but they didn't stay in my ears.
I also tried Powerbeats Wireless3, but they didn't stay in my ears, either. And one over the ear clip eventually broke off.
So I tried BeatsX, and I really like them. Using the "ear wings", they stay in my ears comfortably. I like the easy pairing which makes switching between iMac, iBook, and iPhone, throughout the day, quick and easy.
My iPhone tends to switch its Bluetooth to my Honda CR-V's handsfree when I'm in the car, but I can switch to my BeatsX quickly via iTunes' bluetooth menu at the bottom of the song sheet.
Though they have only an 8-hour charge life, they charge up again quickly.
I also like the magnets which snap together when they're hanging around my neck.
I bought a blue set, but I don't mind the limited color selection, as I'd also be happy with black or silver.
