Review: The iPhone XS Max is what Apple has always promised the iPhone could be
Who is to say that Apple will not make a device that is much smaller than the new Xs series phones ? We simply do not know.
It will not be difficult for them to make a small phone , Star Trek Communicator, that will do much more than today's phone, except for the display.
I just received my Series 4 watch and it is a nice device. I can hear and be heard better on it than on my iPhone. One day Apple will pull a solar charging display out of a hat and the watch battery will last much longer .
Actually, I prefer the smaller phone, a larger keyboard as on my old MacBook Air, or 13 or 15 " Mac.
Software is the real name of the game. No software, no Sale. No reason to have a computer , because I sure as heck am not going to rack my brain trying to write some code at my age. I remember the Apple 1, 2 , 3, the Mac in a Box, etc and the Watch is a small Miracle - with more to come.'
No one knows what Steve Jobs would want today. Even Steve would be impressed or maybe I don't really know that !

WSJ author & research firm that botched iPhone X demand doubling down on iPhone XS
Well, add the WSJ to the list of Non-Factual publications. It has made me almost nauseous to read some of the articles that so called reporters or analysts have written about Apple Products. They write these articles before anyone has access to the products. No one knows the price of the iPhone(s) , nor do they know the costs of Apple Designed Custom Silicon Chips.
The WSJ writer is incompetent and his reputation is on the line now with the rest of the Rags that report such garbage in attempt to down grade Apple, as well as other companies. No retraction can wipe out the damage these Non-Factual Publications cause to the stock price.
They have not even studied the specs of the phones or products.
They remain Anal-ysts in my opinion.

How Apple Pay beat the odds because of great design
Of all things, today I forgot my wallet when I went to CVS for my Rx's. But I had my phone. If you live in South East Georgia, you might realize that Apple Pay has not reach 100% penetration. We are not California or NY.
But, I had my iPhone and several Cards were already registered in my iPhone. So, I was able to make 3 different purchases at CVS before I left the store. Even the staff was surprised I was able to make my purchases. CVS and others need to realize that I (we) are not going to register our credit cards & debit cards with their own App. It is not going to happen. In general, I hope their Payment Systems fail - they deserve to fail. Any company that tries to make it where Apple Pay cannot be used and the only card payment system is theirs is a loser from the start.
So, I made 3 purchases CVS before I left the store without any thing except my phone. Wake up and smell the roses - If I can pay for it with my iPhone via Wallet, I will do so, otherwise, I just may not buy anything from you at all - Especially if I don't have my wallet.
3 for Apple Pay, 0 for the competition.

The surprisingly long history of the Apple AirPods
The biggest problem with the AirPods is they will not stay in my ears - not even when I am sitting. They essentially fall out when I make the slightest movement.
In spite of what Apple thinks, the Beats with foam or other brands with foam or Gel or over the ear hooks are better. I say better, because If one cannot keep them in their ears, it does not matter how cool they are - for me they are a problem. And now Apple is forcing me to go wireless and if they don't make the products where I can use them, I will leave and go somewhere else - Apple Owner since before 1984.

Proposed law will force Apple, Amazon, Netflix to produce 30% of streamed video in the EU
Government at it's Finest - I somewhat understand the EU's position, but they are not going to tell me what I am going to watch. I will pick the best and not watch the rest. Same for news shows.
This is difficult for me to wrap my head around the effects. When government starts telling business what to do, there is a problem coming down the road. Government rarely solves a problem, but usually creates problems instead. "Follow the Money" is what works. Not profitable - don't do it.
If I work all day at a project (for example) and at the end of the project , I break even or make little money, it was not worth my effort. i.e., I do something else next time.
If is is profitable to produce 30% of content in the EU, people will do it. If it is not, they will not do it - and should not do it.
I currently live in a small town with a chicken processing plant - we probably all buy poultry. Some do not buy pork, etc. But it came to light that the Muslims want the industry to say a "Mou-La" over the chickens being processed. I don't have the spelling correct, but is sounds to me just like I wrote it: Mou-La" or $ to the Muslim priests who do this. The company allows this. It is a $1k payment to the priests for doing this. I don't know if it is $1k per shift or $1k per / 24 hours, but they do it is the point. Here is an example of what is not cost efficient. The Muslims demand a payment and prayer over the chickens - to be eaten by them. They don't yet demand that the chickens be labeled "Moo-La" chicken, but they will do it one day. Being a Christian, I asked our lower paid Methodist Minister if he would be willing to say a prayer over the Chickens on behalf of Christians, and we both decided it would be a good bonus for him - certainly more than he makes now.
The point is, when special interests start getting involved in business decisions and dictate the outcomes, it is not good.
The Chinese might not want to eat these chickens since they think Muslims are not a religion , but people who have a mental type illness (or so that is what I just read). So, if the Chinese do not want to eat Moo-La Chickens, I might not want to eat them either - I think Muslims are for world domination .
The EU should stay out of this business and let the producers make the decisions and the people will vote with their $'s or pocketbooks.
EU , US , etc. need to stick to government needs & not tell business what to do - they cannot handle their own problems, much less someone else's business. Government only has the powers we the people give them - they need to stick to the basics, National Defense, etc. Not Welfare, not Medical Care for Free, Not anything that is beyond the basics. Government needs to shrink , not grow.
The EU needs to concentrate on what they do best . . . now what was it they do well ?
