That camera design is absolutely atrocious... Apple design really going downhill
On the contrary, for what it is I can’t imagine it looking nicer. To me 3 lenses look excessive and overly obtrusive, but Apple owned it and made it look as good and elegant as it could possibly look. I haven’t used the camera so I can’t say whether it is worth it or not, but it is firstly about the function of the camera and not the looks, so I’m fine with what Apple did as long as the camera really adds value.

It’s the same deal with the X/XS. Apple owned the dual lens and turned it into something nice looking (for what it is), especially compared to previous designs.

  • Prominent Apple apps in App Store search results face more criticism

It is expected that users will usually choose Apple’s apps before others, causing them to be more popular, causing them to show up more frequently.

  • Exploit resellers report glut of iOS vulnerabilities, will pay more for Android bugs

It’s not as if Apple would have difficulty attracting talent and hiring them. I wonder why they’re dropping the ball on exploits. They should be leading the pack.

  • Study: Apple Pay at 9% adoption in US, lags far behind PayPal and traditional payment meth...

I’d use ApplePay everywhere if everywhere accepted it and accepted it properly.

One of the most annoying things is a place which accepts ApplePay and then I have to enter my PIN and interact with the terminal. As if a PIN is more secure than my facial scan... People running businesses don’t even get ApplePay.

When I was in the UK more places accepted it and did it properly.

  • 'B Corp' leaders challenge Apple, others to become force for good

A nice thought, but the root of the problem isn’t something like ‘pollution’ (as we know it today). The problem is our lifestyle. We live in excess and feel entitled to it.

We’re a bunch of spoiled and entitled brats who want and want. Each generation thinks they ‘have the solution’ and each generation forgets history, even recent history. Not that long ago plastic bags were the solution to the abuse represented by paper bags. No one anticipated the effect of plastic bags, and instead of learning from that error we just want to replace it with something else that will likely become a pollutant which we don’t know enough yet to see as a pollutant—everything in excess becomes a pollutant.

We need to stop the selfish and entitled attitude which has diseased our culture. We need to value the basics—family, food, protection, personal responsibility, self control, respect, morality—and not live in such selfish indulgence.
