  • Google now tries getting EU to force open iMessage

Google is behaving like a child that didn’t get the candy it wanted. Develop a good product and stick with it and maybe people would use it. Stop trying to make Apple so your work for you!!

  • Apple bails out of troubled Toronto retail construction project

They even stole the name from a residential developer. “The one” was pretty much the most expensive house in the world.

These folks sound like a nightmare.

Originally supposed to be in 2020 then the pandemic delayed to 2021. Now it’s two years later?

They want to blame apple for the whole delay, simply because they were waiting on apple’s fancy windows?

Come on dude. The entire building could have been built and a glass facade added at the end. It wasn’t foundational or structural.

These folks clearly can’t manage a project, never mind their company. Sad sad story.
According to the Globe and Mail, they still haven’t built above the 40th floor and all creditors want their money. The South Korean lender wouldn’t give any more this time. The project is a mess and Apple was right to pull out.  https://globe2go.pressreader.com/article/281509345859763

  • DuckDuckGo could have been Apple's private search engine

Blocking the display of alternative search engine choices at device setup…It takes two to do the collusion shuffle.
This should be set in the setup - not let people find out from their YouTube viewing.

  • iPhone 16 Pro may get larger displays than iPhone 15 Pro counterparts

I’m looking for the camera upgrades on the 16 Pro Max. I’d really like a 10x optical zoom.

  • Apple Watch Series 9 review: Solid upgrade even with features still coming

I own an Apple Watch 7. I see no benefit in upgrading based in this review. Apple is going to need more features, not incremental improvements to existing features to get more of my hard-earned $.

The iPhone 15 is another story. I don't know how long I can hold out for a new iPhone SE (to replace my 2020 SE). There are major differences that I'd like to have in a phone, not the least of which is improved battery life. I was on vacation last week, and the cellular roaming killed my battery about every 4 hours when I didn't have WI-FI.
I upgraded from the series 7. The brightness, the double tap finger forthcoming feature, smoother response that the new chip provides along with reasonable buy back for series 7 was worth the upgrade.
Ok so a Series 6 upgrade is worth it or wait for next year? And what about the rumours that current bands won’t fit next year’s watch? I have 32 of them so would be really upset if they didn’t fit
