Level responds to lock picking claim, says Level Lock+ exceeds standards
No one is buying a Level Lock because of the security aspect of the key tumbler. People are spending $200-$300 for the convenience of having a smart lock that isn't god awful ugly. The key tumbler itself is a standard Schlage key tumbler, so if you walk down the aisle in any big box store and pick up a Schlage, the chances of you getting the same style tumbler is 100%. The BHMA AAA rating for Strength, durability, and finish doesn't specify Pick resistance.

The main functions of this SMART LOCK is to be smart, they did not develop the key tumbler, so unless they invest in the R&D to develop their own key type and security the tumbler will always be its flaw. With that being said, everyone goes and says Kwikset doesn't have this issue, huh, yes they do, in fact LPL has picked plenty of the Kwikset "SmartKey" locks, so if you put a professional lock picker up against ANY lock with the right tools, they can pick anything. -
Level Lock had hidden Thread radio, will support Matter over Thread
How is this only getting to you now? This news broke on reddit over a year ago.

Level Lock+ HomeKit smart lock can be picked open in seconds
So the key tumbler is a standard Schlage key tumbler. This “issue” isn’t with the Level Lock itself, but with the tumbler.
This is an issue that any Schlage lock would have. In fact on many occasions the LPL has said that locks bought at any big box store are very easily picked regardless if from Kwikset or Schlage. So again the issue technically isn’t with the Level Locks themselves but with the Schlage key tumblers they use.
If you can find a higher end key tumbler that would be more secure, you are more then welcome to buy it yourself and have it professionally swapped. If you are a DIYer, there’s plenty of videos on swapping the tumbler yourself.
At the end of the day if you are fine with buying a lock from Home Depot, or any other big box store then you’ll be fine with a Level Lock. -

Amazon Prime raising annual subscription to $139
If prime were still the original 1 or 2 day shipping that was promised years ago, it would be worth it. Prime today is nothing but another label.
Items get ship when they want, arrive when they want, i’ve had prime shipping come 5 days later. I don’t use Prime Video, I have never found anything I cared to watch on it. Amazon music is subpar, compared to Apple Music and Spotify. Hell I don’t even have 1 Fire or Alexa device in my house.
