Apple's first real success was in reality the LaserWriter driven by a Mac. It created new industries and shook up old ones. 

While the late Steve Jobs for sure was no easy genius for the world and Apple employees to handle, he never showed the ineptness shown by current Apple management - in particular for the Mac side of things. 

The more Apple wants to (micro)manage Mac users and lock down the system, like as if they are iOS users, the fewer units will sell. 

In addition there is a real price point issue for the entire product line outside of the USD zone.  The same issue largely exist for the iPhone too. 

That is the situation on the ground. Deal with it.

I have tested it throughout development and it is not bad at all. Noticeably slower than Safari, but it is probably full of debugging and instrumentation code, so that verdict will have to come at release.  For some enterprise type sites it appears to work better than Safari, but that should really come as no surprise.

If I need a 3rd party browser other than Safari, I am more inclined to trust that to Microsoft than anything Google.

We've been wrong before in regards to the mini, but it doesn't look like there's anything in the pipeline at present.
