  • 'iPhone SE 2' not dead, but won't be the same size as the original says Ming-Chi Kuo

I like the size of the SE though it cannot be denied it has a rather small display space. But what I like about the SE most of all is its looks. I've always preferred the classic iPhone look; that was the pinnacle of iPhone design. It looks solid, robust even; all new designs look cheap in comparison. That's subjective, of course.

  • Apple is evaluating new keyboard mechanisms to make thinner MacBooks

Apple jumped the shark with its obsession with thinness long ago, favoring form over function. I am at a loss why it continues with this faulty mindset. And with keyboard? The butterfly keyboard has been an abysmal failure if reliability and longevity are your thing.

  • Editorial: Apple just told you that they aren't going to make an 'iPhone SE 2' any time so...

I'm not sure Apple is not stupid, that it knows what sells and what doesn't. Sure, its products are selling and it is flush with cash. But the corporate landscape is littered with corporations who once reigned king but are relegated to much smaller market segments today, if even still in business. Apple will prove to be no exception. How say? Because its lost focus, deviated from what Steve Jobs built to lay the foundation for the excessive wealth Apple enjoys today. Jobs was so successful because he gave Apple customers outstanding value and innovative products. His product line was simple and clearly differentiated. Most products could be readily repaired, expanded, and upgraded. But his real killer feature was delivering excellence, the best user experience possible (at specific price points) for a modest premium. That's what Apple lacks today, and why I predict its ship will sail too. Greed always loses in the end.

  • Apple loses ground to Samsung in European smartphone market

Apple rubs me wrong in all the wrong ways today. There's a fair chance I will switch to Android when my iPhone finally dies. I just don't see that much difference in that market. I would like to do the same for the Mac too and jump to another OS but I don't find the other platforms as compelling even after decades of improvement. I just don't care for Apple 3.0; it has become just your a typical corporation with a primary focus on creating greater shareholder returns rather than delivering outstanding value to its customers. Meh.

  • High-end 2019 Apple iPhone lineup may shift to 'Pro' branding

Pro means nothing any longer with Apple products. Well, not entirely; it generally means Apple is charging a higher Apple tax on that product so the customer can earn the privilege of buying one.
