  • Apple Vision Pro a big hit in enterprise

I think your headline of Vision Pro being a “big hit” is perhaps stretching reality a bit here.  For all we know the fortune 100 companies may have only bought a single device each to test - so that’s 50 units
I can see how you arrived at that conclusion, but, and I can't stress this enough, *that isn't how enterprise works*. A company doesn't just buy one. The comments he made throughout earnings made it clear, they are being bought and *used* in enterprise for development and work at these companies.

    It's a big deal.
Absolutely right it's a big deal.

I know of one organization (I will obviously not name them here) that bought TEN of them.  I also saw from my own experiences with demos, that business use was going to be big.  I sold one unit to a customer who has a commercial solar energy company.  He didn't even want to bother with a demo.  Said he had read and saw enough about it to know that would be very useful in his line of work.

  • Protesters close Chicago Apple Store over Palestinian employee firing

Apple enforces what they call "Brand Standards."    When you work in a retail Apple Store, you agree to uphold those standards.

As far as your person is concerned, that means you are not wearing anything with any sort of logo outside of your Apple t-shirt or black "track jacket."   For sometime, I wore a couple of pins on my black jacket- one was of Snoopy in his orange space suit.  Despite the Snoopy in Space cartoon on Apple TV+, I was eventually told not to wear that as it was against brand standards.

Nit picking?  Yea, for sure.  But the real issue was if I could do that, then others can wear things to their liking.  I didn't like having to take that pin off.  But I understood why.

keffiyeh is not a religious item.  They have been worn in the many desert areas for millennia.  Their real purpose to be able to drape it across your face to protect against blowing sand.   On the other hand, a Hijab is part of Islamic tradition.  I worked with at least two people who wore a Hijab.  I should also note, Apple stores when necessary, provided a private space for those employees who needed one for prayer time.

  • Unsurprisingly, Apple Vision Pro lenses will scratch if you try to destroy them

Sadly, this is so very true.   When we do demos or pick ups, we instruct customers on how to hold the device and never, ever pick it up by the band or worse, the light seal.

  • Apple 'renaissance' inbound after Vision Pro launch success

    News from a store...

If you want to see a pile of people with sore throats and who are very tired, but also very proud... go to an Apple Store and find everyone in a blue shirt that spent the weekend doing AVP demos or just answering questions about it to a constant flow of customers.

No, stores were not busy like an iPhone launch, this was different.  But there was a ton of traffic, just more measured and not as frantic.  Like those of us in those blue shirts, the customers- those buying, those taking the demo, and those just curious to see this new thing- were amazing and smiling throughout it all.

This is more than just a new product, it's a new everything.
