  • Apple's $119B Q1 2024 revenue a bounce back from 2023 dip

I told you that the stock will tank after their earnings out.

AAPL will underperform in this year.

This is the moment where AAPL shareholders get jelly at META (+12%!!!) and AMZN (+6%!!!!).

Apple stock drops after an earnings report?! You're a regular Miss Cleo with those prognostication skills. 🙄

  • Apple Vision Pro will have over 600 native apps on launch day

So everyhting I can do on my current mac I can do with Vision Pro and why do I need 3D again?
    1) That's not accurate.  There are plenty of things you can do on your Mac that you can't do on AVP, and countless other things you can do with your AVP that will be a poor experience compared to your Mac. But that also doesn't mean that there aren't things that AVP can do that that Mac simply can't compete with it, which is the conclusion that any reasonable person would come to. Now, are the inherent benefits of AVP worth the cost for you? That's for you to answer on your own.

    2) Again, why you need (or want) 3D (which I assume is how you're defining VR/AR/XR in AVP) is something you need to figure out for yourself.

  • Apple TV+ renews Idris Elba's high-octane thriller 'Hijack'

Enjoyed the first few episodes but toward the end it got pretty woke and the hero pretty lame. He went from being Reacher to being in touch with his feminine side. Perfect for the new Hollywood and Apple unfortunately.
    1) You got offended because Elba's character wasn't blowing the misogynistic dog whistle you needed to hear? LOL

    2) If you think that Jack Reacher is a misogynist then you clearly are projecting your ideology into Lee Child's character.

Earlier he wrote about spending $5K on a 77-inch TV. That's one of the analogies I used when talking about the possibility of buying VisionPro.

The problem with this analogy is that when you spend that $5,000 on the 77" TV you have a device that multiple people can use at the same time. If you spend $5,000 with Apple all you have is one AVP that can be used by one person at a time—and possibly only one specific person based on the prescription lenses.  :o
Caveat: the TV doesn't include an M2 computer. Computers are something that typically gets used by one person at a time. So it's a hybrid of one type of device that is thought of as being for multiple people and another that isn't.
No one cares about the M2.

So the AVP is a "hybrid device" that can only be used by one person? LOL

The amount of rationalization for this thing is off the charts.
Who is the “no one” you speak of?

It’s kinda funny you call out AI for their use of “everyone” as if it’s preposterous but are fine using “no one” just a few posts later and regarding the same basic topic.
No one. Not one single person. No one give a shit about the M2.
I have a lot of shits to give about my MBP with an M2 Max. I'm very happy with its performance although I will say that during very cold mornings I was missing the heat of the Intel MBP on my lap to help keep me warm.
