  • iPhone 15 rumored to get much bigger batteries

Why? 15 Pro is about to get a 3nm chip using LESS power. Samsung reduced battery size from S21 to S22. Apple could do the same.
With 15 Pro being all about A17 there really is no reason to change design, display, or battery size this year.
Unless you work directly on the iPhone at Apple and here divulging design and production secrets there is no reasonable way you can know that there is “no reason” to make changes to the iPhone 15’s “design, display, or battery” and that Apple will only detail and promote they A17 chip as the only new feature this year in your “all about” comment.

What if, say, Apple improves the camera system in a way that will causes a much higher battery draw for video? Wouldn’t that warrant increasing the battery, if feasible, so that a video can be taken for a reasonable and expected duration? What if that camera change includes AR/VR capabilities to help promotes and benefit Vision Pro usage in a meaningful way? What if they’ve finally added downstream inductive charging to AirPods and Apple Watches? What if they finally added Touch ID behind the display and that extra substrate now requires a brighter backlight to achieve the same relative brightness? What if any number of other ideas?

  • Apple hitting roadblocks in Vision Pro assembly

Never buy the first generation of anything.
    Well that's fucking stupid.

  • Apple considered VR controllers & rings for Vision Pro, but didn't like the ideas

Just like with the Apple Pencil and the iPad, I don't expect an auxiliary device will be the default use for Vision Pro, but I do expect it to be exist. There are simply too many use cases where even the most advanced finger tracking can't do everything one might need in a VR or AR environment.

  • Goldman Sachs may be trying to get out of its Apple Card deal

I don't know Jack about this area but why can't Apple fund its own card? Why do they need anyone to help them with this? Just make that a new part of the biz and forget these banks who are giant losers. They just don't care the same way Apple does...
It's not about funding, it's about being a financial institution. As you can see from the growing pains with GS who has a long history of financial services but has never issued a CC, it's not easy. That isn't to say that it's not something Apple will ever consider, but if they do I'm guessing it'll be a subsidiary company they either start from the ground up or, more likely, purchase for a song and build into for their own needs.

  • 15-inch MacBook Air review: Hits the sweet spot for portability and power

I'd like to see them put one of the TB ports on the right side of the machine. Sometimes it's easier to run a charging cord to the right side vs. having all the charging ports on the left.

I'd also like to see an HDMI port, but I guess Apple thinks only Pros would want to project content on an external screen (without a dongle.)
I don’t mind only having USB-C since it truly is universal, but I do wish it had pelts on both sides. Along a similar line, when Apple released a 12”MacBook with USB-C around the same time (circa 2015) I couldn’t believe Apple only had a single USB-C port. Google released a similar product around the same time which has a USB-C port on both sides. I returned my MB because of this limitation.
