Apple CEO Tim Cook personally invested $1 million in Trump's inauguration
timmillea said:From someone outside the U.S. (I am from England), I find it baffling that Trump 1) would even stand as a candidate to be president and 2) would actually be elected! Why is American politics all about money? It appears the mega-rich pay in and get what they want. Ask Trump on his views on homosexuality (Tim Cook is gay), or misogyny (Trump has previous here). Truly, in a country that size, you would think there were far better candidates. It appears to be all about money. Democracy does not exist in the USA.
It's said that he US can survive 4 years of a bad president. Typically I'd agree, except we're not dealing with someone that loves the US who is moving things in a direction that's not sustainable. We're dealing with a traitor who owes Putin and who won't hesitate to destroy every aspect of this country to protect himself. There is no honorable person who will be in charge in a couple weeks.
What's sad is that I know some Trump supporters. The ones I know personally are just politically ignorant. They literally have the Fox News logo burned into their TV and think Tucker Carlson was news (when he was on). They're old, early duped, and easily scared by a changing world. They are simply easy marks for being scammed. Then there are others who simply want to see everything burn — and I see several on this website. They don't think Trump will actually help them, but love the idea that someone else like them, with no moral fiber, who hates woman, who hates foreigners, and for some reason are fine with a pedophile as POTUS. This group isn't being duped by Trump's grift, they simply want to see it destroyed because they are too insecure to admit that they're failures because of their own life choices and inadequacies. -

He won in an electoral college landslide and also won the popular vote by over 4 million votes. I’d say the country clearly stated who they wanted. No controversy here folks. Maybe let’s just stick with tech news and not show our biased political views in a tech article.

PS: Trump did have more votes (only one side ever claims it's a conspiracy and stolen if they lose), but that was not a landslide by any measure. -
What's best to watch on Apple TV+ during the upcoming free weekend
