    Nope. Many of Trump's executive orders were actually illegal. An executive order is kind of like a promissory note that conveys the intentions of the administration. They are binding for federal employees and offices, but can't go beyond that and can't violate the constitution. The orders can later be considered by Congress and the Supreme Court if they need further legislation to make them more official, or if they need to be blocked.

    For example, his orders about birthright citizenship aren't allowed, period. He can't actually provide amnesty to ByteDance from a law that was passed. And he can't withdraw from the WHO like that. He's being sued already and there are a lot of people on both sides of the isle that are unhappy with the many of the executive orders and what they do. Congress will likely overturn several. We'll see.
    You need to do some more research and look into what 'US jurisdiction' means. Might want to look up supreme court precedent while you're at it. You are welcome.

    Also, that's a shame about the WHO, looks like Tedros is going to have to go back to embezzling funds from the Ethiopian government again. Poor guy.
    I don't think Wes is the one that needs to look up US jurisdiction. 
    I would encourage you to look deeper into that issue. If someone sneaks into your house, does that mean you're obligated to make them part of your family and give them your resources? The 14th amendment was created to grant citizenship to former slaves during the Reconstruction. 
    The text of the 14th Amendment is quite unambiguous,

    All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside. No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.

    It doesn't say anything about applying only to former slaves. There aren't any restrictions at all such as that their parents are citizens, or even in the country legally. It clearly and simply says, "All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States." There's no wiggle room there. The idea that The Constitution can be amended by executive order is a pill too bitter for even the corrupt right wing of SCOTUS to swallow. But, you know, maybe they'll go along, and then the next President (or, who knows, maybe even this one) can simply repeal the 2nd Amendment by executive order.

    Trump's EOs can't get around the 14th Amendment. HOWEVER Trump and his cronies can work to get SCOTUS Congress to repeal Amendments (and add new ones). Trump and his cronies can also do what they've already done, which is bully people who fear for their life, livelihood, and/or stock value into making decisions that are not good for the nation, as well and look the other way when states do something that's Federally illegal in a Red state (or when a Blue state needs assistance). Right now he's trying to get a bishop to apologize for asking everyone to be accepting of minorities... ya know, Jesusy shit.

    edit: I expect him to try to make it "legal" for him to run for a 3rd term once we get to year 3.

The fascists here  will say that I'm just throwing out that term, but it's definition is very simply "an authoritarian and nationalistic right-wing system of government and social organization" which is exactly what they voted for and got and — on a more complex note — shown off by the broligarchy that accompanied him yesterday.

    Can you imagine if Biden had done that or if Obama had dared not get sworn in on the Bible? The so-called conservative media wouldn't have stop harping in. I know this because they slammed Obama for months over wearing a tan suit. It's kinda amazing what people will chose to accept when their focus is on stripping the rights and freedoms of 
    minorities instead of actually being self aware, mature, and fair enough to want a level playing field in life.

    and why not call it the Gulf of America? It isn’t as though the left aren’t busy changing place names all the time.
    1) Imagine being such a sensitive little fuckwad as to be upset that a body of water contains the word of another country or a mountain being officially named after the indigenous people who called that for many centuries.

    2) What place names are constantly changing by this left? I certainly haven't noticed this so it would be great if you could back up your comment with recent examples.

    PS: I am genuinely curious to know from the Trump supporter on this forum believe that a person can only be born as either male or female. Or, if XX and XY chromosomes are the only way to define people as male or female (as was an issue during the most recent Summer Olympics).

That's and opinion of someone in the UK looking at what has happened to the great nation of the USA of the last four years. Tim Cook knows big change is coming and all he is doing is positioning himself and Apple to take advantage of that.

    There's a long history of events that have lead to this. From Reagan's horrible policies to Citizens United removing campaign contribution limitations, to the creation of legalized money laundering with SuperPACs, and countless other things. I won't even get into the lack of integrity of so-called news outlets pushing a narrative of fear by spreading lies. Trump only was possible because of all these failures that led to lifelong grifter, liar, and sexual predator as POTUS.

    It's said that he US can survive 4 years of a bad president. Typically I'd agree, except we're not dealing with someone that loves the US who is moving things in a direction that's not sustainable. We're dealing with a traitor who owes Putin and who won't hesitate to destroy every aspect of this country to protect himself. There is no honorable person who will be in charge in a couple weeks.

    What's sad is that I know  some Trump supporters. The ones I know personally are just politically ignorant. They literally have the Fox News logo burned into their TV and think Tucker Carlson was news (when he was on). They're old, early duped, and easily scared by a changing world. They are simply easy marks for being scammed. Then there are others who simply want to see everything burn — and I see several on this website. They don't think Trump will actually help them, but love the idea that someone else like them, with no moral fiber, who hates woman, who hates foreigners, and for some reason are fine with a pedophile as POTUS. This group isn't being duped by Trump's grift, they simply want to see it destroyed because they are too insecure to admit that they're failures because of their own life choices and inadequacies.

    Of the two of us, I'm the only one who actually accepts the results of free and fair elections no matter the outcome. You're the one still claiming Trump won in 2020, while even in this thread I've noted that Trump won in 2024.
