  • Only Apple could have made Apple Vision Pro, say firm's design chiefs

This is Apple getting high on its own delusions.

    It's understandable but still ridiculous.

Anybody that thinks only 'they' could do something really needs to rethink things.
I’m pretty sure they are correct when they say only Apple could have created the Apple Vision Pro.
Right? They own the trademark on Apple. Duh. 🥸

  • Apple Vision Pro will have over 600 native apps on launch day

“In total, Apple has identified XX shopping apps that will be native at launch” I only counted IV or V in the list. Not close to XX apps.
As the article clearly states, these are the apps that have appeared BEFORE the launch. The product hasn’t launched yet, so the Vision Pro App Store is not yet available, so we don’t have the full list yet.

Sorry if you missed that. Check back in a few days once some of the AI staff get their AVPs and can investigate the VP App Store once it opens.
The original article was edited to remove the XX that I quoted which was clearly meant to be a placeholder for an actual count of apps due to the intro lead “In total,”. But rather than provide the count, the author removed the XX but quizzically left in the lead which begs for an actual count. Makes me think they used ChatGPT to assemble the article and didn’t actually read it.

Anyway, I suppose my attempt at sarcastic humor fell flat in intimating that the author intended to use Roman numerals all along. Sorry if you missed that.

  • What you need to order Apple Vision Pro from the Apple Store online

What you need to order Apple Vision Pro from Apple Store online? A healthy bank account and quite a bit of optimism.

    I want M3 iMac - NOW!
What is an M3 Mac going to do what the current ones don't?
Be supported for two more years.
With Sonoma, Apple just dropped support for the Intel iMacs that came out in 2017 which means the oldest iMacs that can run Sonoma are the 2019 models which is kind of insane.
This really is one of the biggest issues with Apple’s release cadence. These 2017 Mac’s are functionally equivalent to the 2018/2019 models with small CPU change for most models but they are now disallowed to run the latest OS.
These recent ‘discounts’ on Apple’s 2+ years old M1 Macs would be much more attractive if the supported timeline was not truncated by the same number of years.
