The presumed delayed release has me worried that, at least on the processor front, they did not push the envelope and we’ll be stuck with a dated processor right off the bat. I don’t think they can just swap out processors at a moment’s notice. The …

Johar said: In what bizarro universe are veteran operations guys responsible for design - particularly in a company built entirely on its reputation for groundbreaking design? Why is Apple seemingly so terrified of bringing in new blood? The …

I think you named all the games available natively for Macs these days. Thanks!

It will be interesting to see if Apple does indeed follow in the footsteps of Microsoft in the OS naming. When Windows 98 and Windows 98 came out, I think folks were generally happy to get away from ‘version numbers’ per se. Apple did, too, with all…

There is a third party SDK vendor that offers this screen recording feature. While working for a fintech company there were efforts from people on my team to integrate it into our very widely used app. I about lost my shit and engaged our security d…

I wonder how all the folks who purchased the latest iPhone with the expectation that they’d be getting to enjoy an enhanced Siri experience are feeling. It is clear the iPhone 17 will be on the market well before any semblance of “AI Siri” ships. I …

The previous posts relating this potential move to the Vision Pro are apt. One can only conclude that Apple feels its Vision Pro strategy is working. As I don’t have all the data that Apple has, maybe it’s true. But as an outside observer, it sure …

Where is Sarafi search? I want to be sure I’ve turned off all this nonsense!

I can’t imagine any retailer in today’s market interested in carrying Apple’s year old albatross. When they knock $3000 off the sticker price, then sure. But not as is.

I dunno but now that the mini has shrunk almost to the size of an AppleTV, we might have a nice mount for the rear of a monitor to slip the computer in this making the power button ideally positioned. I could see this working out nicely.

…and, if we got that far, it wouldn’t be too much further to have a little dock for our phone were we could walk up to a KVM, place our phone on its little pad and have a full desktop experience. That is my dream that is likely to never come to fru…

A foldable phone I think is one of the worst ways to get a larger display for a mobile device. The desire for the larger display is best solved IMO with linked eyewear. The devices today are not bad at all, but will be even better as time goes on. …

“When the Dock loads, it will now display only running apps. To reverse the setting and display the Dock normally, set static-only back to YES and repeat the same process as above.” Ya got a bug in your code there: that would be to set static-only …

Since Apple already manipulates one’s gaze (at least on iOS) so that it appears as though one is looking right at one’s FaceTime caller, why not just fix the pupils (or otherwise naturally animate them) while one has a virtual keyboard active?

I honestly thought they’d be much further along after 5 years. But I thought by now they would have a compelling story for consumers to plunk down for AppleTV+. Certainly making progress with some interesting original shows / movies. Just not quite…

Interesting that most folks jumped on the “classic” term being (mis)applied here. For me, what jumped out was “free”. Free, with subscription, isn’t really free. More appropriate to say Apple has added 51 movies to their catalog of shows and movies,…

My initial reaction to Apple’s pricing of the VP was that it was reminiscent of the pricing of the original iPhone x2. There was tons of criticism and groans that Apple had the audacity to charge $800 for the top tier 8gb model. I was at the keynote…

Yeah, they better get a move on. I saw a long line of parents who were eager to strap $4000 (after all is said and done) to their 10 yo’s face.
