Ha ha. The announcement will be met with derision and apoplectic fits whatever it is and however it is packaged. Indeed. I'd like to say 'Thank you, Apple', but that would imply that what Google is doing is actually Apple, like. In many other regards, perhaps, but in this case colour me sceptical. Xiaomi CEO aims match Apple for 'product and experience'
They use the Android platform, right? I would have thought they'd need to start right there. In order to compete fully with Apple and match the user experience they probably ought to be entirely in control of their own os's.
