  • Wireless CarPlay support expected in 2021 Honda Accord

My CarPlay experience in my 3-year old Honda has been so bad that I'm inclined to actually avoid Honda for my next car. For one thing, my iPhone's USB cable didn't work 50% of the time with my Honda, and the Honda dealership explained to me that I have to buy a higher quality cable, but they refused to sell me one that works or even tell me which brand/model of cable would actually work. So even if they've finally fixed it by going wireless, I'm still holding a grudge. I plan to wait for the first car from any manufacturer that comes with Apple's new carOS.
I worked for a Honda dealer and there is a difference in cables. If you are not using the original Honda cable make sure it says iphone certified or iOS certified. There is a chip in the Apple cables that regulates power and other functions. The bootleg cheap cables are more trouble than they are worth.

  • Coalition for App Fairness unites developers to fight Apple's App Store fees and policies

I too will boycott them. Checking the list now. I know what happens when a product or service is unprofitable for Apple. They kill it as they should. If the shift to focusing on Services and and Devices only, they could redirect those resources to something else. Remember Apple had Newton that like now had superior technology and was decades ahead of its time. We Steve Jobs returned he could not find a way to profitability so even though it was loved by many. It was killed. Only to become a cult product.

Without the share that Apple takes none of the companies who got their start and profited massively on IOS would be where they are today, because Apple would not have invested heavily into the platform and it would have died on the vine like Ping and others.

How many partnerships do the company doing the heavy lifting only take 30%. I mean really. They should give them the option to bypass the fee, then charge the true value for each service or API they want to use on a subscription basis that takes into account how many calls per month it is accessed.

Then they will miss the 30% because Apple should charge more since they will have to manage a much more complex system

  • Apple fires back in Epic Games 'Fortnite' saga, seeks damages for breach of contract

Is Apple required to let Epic back on the store even if Epic relents and wants to pay 30%?
The court may order it to, but as of now it has not so ordered Apple.

Apple has informed Epic that it will deny a reapplication (by Epic) for at least a year. So at this point, Epic doesn't have the option to just undo the hotfix and make Fortnite compliant.
The court was considering, but rejected, the idea of putting fortnite back on the store with the alternate payment system. It was not considering forcing the product back on the store if the alternate payment system was removed. I was talking about a different scenario entirely. Your second paragraph is a completely new news item to me. I find your point fascinating. I’m going to see if I can confirm that.

My question remains: can Apple stop a third-party software developer from using the App Store if it simply doesn’t like the developer? Similarly, could Walmart refuse to sell Samsung products just because they don’t like Samsung?
Well, depends on what you mean by "like". Walmart refuses to carry all sorts of products if the vendor doesn't or can't meet Walmart's requirements.

Walmart does not have to carry Samsung Products at All. As a matter of fact they chose not to carry iPhones until they just couldn’t avoid it anymore without missing sales opportunities.

  • Apple delays 'The Banker' theatrical and streaming release on inaccuracy, sexual abuse cla...

What does Cynthia Garret want if her allegations are proven to be true? Is she doing this cleanse her soul of long held grievances or is she doing this for her supposed cut of the money that is going to her alleged half brother?
You stated no option that it could be about justice even at the risk of her own quality of life and excessive cost, by not letting another sexual predator get away without due justice for the violent crimes he's committed, or even trying to keep her half-brother from getting wealthy off  what may be lies that are becoming canon in the film. But all you can see is that it's abut her needing to cleanse her own soul (because she's a fragile woman?) and about her getting paid (because she's greedy)? Those were really the only two options you saw from the claims by her and her sister?
My question is why do these things always suddenly come up after years of planning and shooting?

More like $17. $60 million divided by 3.5 million affected customers.
